Don't Blame Temple, Part Two
Sorry folks, but this point is getting more and more relevant as the weeks go by.
PSU has the worst strength of schedule (89th) of the top 24 Teams in the Sagarin Computer Rankings..
Boise States is better! (80th).
The problem is not Temple, it is this suckful conference, with 7 teams rated #51 or below.
Furthermore, Wisconsin, which is rated #23, has O and D Lines with overweight fat slobs that have no chance against any athletic program.
Whats have we got? Mr Lucky, Old School, and the Shot-Put QB.
Pray for good matchups in the bowls this year.
Hare Krishna.
Sagarin Ratings for selected teams, update November 1, 2009.
Michigan State 51
Minnesota 56
Temple 61
Michigan 67
Purdue 79
Northwestern 93
Syracuse 94
Indiana 95
Illinois 102

For Comparison, take the SEC for example..
The SEC has 11 teams all ranked 48 or higher.

Or
One could take that piece of data and use it to dispute the validity of those numbers. 11 of the SEC teams are not 48th or better.

Yeah that's crazy.
The large amount of mediocrity seems to be causing the computers problems this year. I don’t remember thinking there were so many fundamental problems with the computers this late in the season last year.
Sagarin has half the ACC in the top 36 and eight Pac-10 teams in the top 45.

I have been in the school of thought that the
Big Ten’s weakness is the middle to low end teams. At least ten teams in the Big Ten should be capable of winning the MAC. Currently, I don’t think that’s the case.
I'm told these things are cyclical
yet for the Big 10, I can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. The last time the Big 10 won the Rose Bowl was Wisky back in 2000? Sheez.
Didn't the Big11 own the Rose Bowl in the 90's?
It happens. Doesn’t help when the conference is sending 9-3 Illinois to the Rose Bowl.
Never mistake effort for achievement.

Yes, it would have helped if we could have actually sent our conference champ
Of course, the writers never mentioned that fact.

What?
Sending the actual conference champion four out of the nine years in question isn’t good enough for you?

Temple received a vote for top 25????
How could Nixon know so little about Watergate and so much about football ?
If temple wins out....
Is there any chance that Temple is the second highest ranked team we played by the end of the season?
How could Nixon know so little about Watergate and so much about football ?
I sense a pattern.
Temple lost to Villanova, a Colonial Athletic Association conference member.
Ball State lost to New Hampshire, a Colonial Athletic Association conference member.
Virginia lost to William & Mary, a Colonial Athletic Association conference member.
Duke lost to Richmond, a Colonial Athletic Association conference member.
Richmond got a single vote in the AP poll.
