Im doing quite well w/ 26

It is by mistake though. For whatever reason I ordered my picks backwards this week. Huston-UCF was my 1 point pick. I should end quite well as long as Auburn wins.

Just got back. Expected outcome, unexpected method to get there.

Will miss the redheaded dancer, as she is a senior. When I oogle future dancers, I only will be doing so wondering how much better Nicole would look doing the routine.

Stupid Ohio State. But props to Iowa for using a backup QB to the fullest.

Let’s go Notre Dame.

Is the only saving grace of the dance team. They’re the most useless part of the game.

It’s sad that P.J. is gone though. At least I got her for my four years :)

So, that was one hell of a finish to that Iowa-OSU game. And to answer the question from the last thread, I’ll be excited to watch the Rose Bowl (because I’ll probably watch it anyway) if the other OSU is there – Oregon State. Yes, they need a lot of help, but they’re still in the running for the Pac-10 title. And I’ll continue support those guys from last season.

Texas blew out UCF, Houston’s playing well, so hell, why not make them my 10 point selection.

Can't completely blame UT's loss on Crompton

That defense refused to tackle Ole Miss’ RB (whose name escapes me now…)

But I got suckered into the Houston pick for 10 too – the week I finally give Houston respect and think they’re a legit team, they turn around and burn me.

I lost the Iowa one too.

Yeah not too worried about the D-line talent, even with Odrick leaving

You have raw guys like Lattimore and Crawford who should improve with more experience. Ogbu should anchor the middle with Still being a good up and comer, and a ton (quite literally) of talent coming in this class. Should be a good line for the next 4 or so years.

This is too far in the future

Yet it worries me as well. Nick Saban runs NFL defensive schemes (watch the Steelers in what is actually a 1-5-5 on third and long) that confuse the hell out of college QBs. The 2003 Pseudo National Championship Game is an example. Left DE Marcus Spears dropped into a zone coverage while DBs blitzed and intercepted a pass off of Jason White for a score. I don’t want a novice QB trying to read that shit.

Second quarter

Zug and some other guy fumbled.

Then at the end, Royster took a screen pass for a touchdown. Bill Lynch was PISSED. Demanded holding.

Second half we were tied at 10-10 for a while. Bowman intercepted a screen pass and took it for a TD. Led from there on out.

It’ll be interesting to see what the computers do for Iowa. They’re the only thing keeping them afloat because the humans don’t have much respect for them right now, and that’s not gonna get better tomorrow. I’d say theres a chance we pass them if the human’s hose them as expected and the computers do anything less than rank them 15.

LSU is irrelevent though, they’re not gonna get a BCS bid anyway.

Idk man

They’re only 4 spots ahead of us in the coach’s and 5 in the Harris. I’d say we’re definitely going to pass them in those polls especially with all the carnage today. The question is how much the computers can save them from. It’ll be close.

Ew.

Stop it with the “style points” in ranking teams.

If you take style points out

no reason we should be higher than Iowa. I mean the only arguement we can use is their close games especially the one against FCS.

How could Nixon know so little about Watergate and so much about football ?

by psupride on Nov 14, 2009 8:41 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Here's how I see the argument

Both teams have an equal loss to a quality team. Penn State has a second loss to a quality team (Iowa), while Iowa has a second less to a mediocre team (jNW).

On the other side, Penn State has really no big win – the biggest at this point being Temple. Iowa has 2 quality wins – Arizona and us.

For me, Iowa remains ahead of us due to their higher quality of wins. (That’s where the head-to-head aspect will come in.)

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."

I wouldn't, FWIW

Iowa played about as bad against Indiana as we did against Indiana. Head to head win, and they looked better than Ohio State.

And I saw a lot of gold seats in the upper decks. But certainly better than Louisville, USF, UConn and even Cinci.
