Special Teams Coach: Located And Free
Well, this wasn't difficult. God bless the internets.
Lost in yesterday's crapfest -- Navorro Bowman has likely played his last game at Beaver Stadium. As for injuries, Brandon Beachum sustained what appeared to be a very serious knee injury on the second half kickoff. A.J. Wallace left the game with a concussion, and Chaz Powell left the game with what was preliminarily described as a sprain of his AC shoulder joint.
Despite Penn State's lazy performance, they're likely to nudge even closer to the magical top 14 of the BCS standings. Penn State started the day ranked #18 in the rankings, but #9 USC, #10 Iowa, #14 Miami, #15 Houston, #16 Utah, and #17 Arizona all lost.

Nice field
A word to the wise ain't necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice.
Bill Cosby
So, these "moves"
would work on a field like, say, Purdue? How about those who use a form of grass or grass-like-plastic for playing football?

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
PSU #12 in coaches poll
Iowa down at #15, which is a joke.

You know if you lose late in the season you are screwed.
Why the big10 will help out PSU this year.
I expected that
Then again, I also think Iowa should still be ahead of Ohio State…
sigh

Iowa has lost two games in a row, with one of them being at home vs Northwestern
Yes, it sucks for them that they lost their QB, but add the two losses in with how they have squeaked by in a lot of games this year, I think #15 is more than reasonable for them.

I'd agree with that
without all the injuries, maybe we wouldn’t have lost those games. But we did. Middle of the road with the other 2 loss teams is fair
It never gets to be easy

It will be very close if both teams win who would be chosen for BCS rep
I thought that before Iowa-OSU gm that PSU would be chosen, but I’m not sure I see that now. I think PSU likely will need the Hawkeyes to lose, which is fair, considering the head to head matchup.
Although I will say that head to head is not necessarily the only factor involved, you have to look at the whole season. Otherwise NC State should be ranked ahead of Pitt.

not that it is a guarantee that the B10 will get two teams
but it does look likely

Temple has more votes than Oklahoma
I don’t even know what to think about that other than congrats to Temple?
Also more than Georgia, Auburn, Boston College, and W. Virginia
A win over Pitt is like kissing your sister
Bradley on Bowman
I liked this. It’s still Seip paraphrasing Scrap, but….:
After the game, Bradley looked around the interview room and noted the collective reporters and coaches in the building don’t make the combined total of what Maybin will pull down. Nobody should stand in front of a 20-something athlete being able to reach that type of payday. He looked at it this way, if IBM approached a Penn State junior with an offer to preside over its company, why should the student stay in State College?
"For me the game wasn’t grounded in reality. It was about the uniform you put on that turned you into a warrior. It was about the mythology of the battle, the victory, the defeat, the struggle." - Mike Reid, PSU '69

Bowman...take the money and run!!!
With Beachum getting hurt it can really mess us up next fall if Royster leaves…
That being said, if RR can get picked up in top 2 rounds…GO!!!!!
HAHS circa 93' "Football is 1/2 Offense, 1/2 Defense, and 1/2 Special teams".
Also - I would have really liked to see what Carter could have done at Hero.
Why they never transistioned the kid is beyond me…he could have played there for a few years
HAHS circa 93' "Football is 1/2 Offense, 1/2 Defense, and 1/2 Special teams".
I feel bad for that kid
He appears to be a good kid and a good enough athlete, he just kind of got to where there is not really room anywhere to play him.

I agree Roland
I think Joe wanted him as a backup to Royster just in case for a few years, then an injury and some younger talent came in…never saw the field.
We could have really used someone like that as a DB in the last couple of years but they kept him buried on O.
I still hav nightmares about the USC game…we looked slow/white against their WR
HAHS circa 93' "Football is 1/2 Offense, 1/2 Defense, and 1/2 Special teams".
As much as I hate to say it
As soon as Bowman caught the INT for a TD, the first thought other than “WWWWOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!” was, “That’s it, he’s gone after this season.”
But good luck to him, I wish him all the best.
