It is like the only games he watched were the Iowa & OSU games, and saw their Dlines dominating our O line, and just figured, “hey, our defense will do just as well, so we’ll win (in a high scoring game? wtf?).” Something tells me that MSU’s D-line isn’t as good as OSU’s or Iowas, and while they may give us some fits, I don’t expect them to dominate.

Also, isn’t the purpose of the Cover 3 to prevent the big play, but that it allows the little dink and dunks. The whole “bend but don’t suck”? Apparently that means we’re now prone to the big play by MSU’s (admittedly very talented) receivers.

This preview just reeks of misguided assumptions, but I’d be more inclined to believe that the 9-2 team will beat the 6-5 team.

I think we do a good job on defense, giving up a couple big plays, but hopefully they don’t go for TDs and then our red zone defense can hold them. Our offense probably won’t do anything phenomenal, but not necessarily because of their defense. I’ll go with something like 23-17.
