Wish it was said here, but from eleven warriors:

Despite Pryor made a big mistake last year running the ball to the outside, I think it would be awesome if this is his coming out party for 300 yards passing and 100 yard rushing. One of those games where he (and the team) rips state penn left and right.

And my reply

You mean effectively matching his season totals? Ask me about the scUM guy who predicted Minor and Brown were each going to go over 100 yards, with velcro adding another 60. Better odds are he actually does have a coming out party saturday, but only in the sense we discover why sweatervest blindly trusts your best wide reciever to throw the ball. wink wink nudge nudge

While we're on the topic of things that would be awesome but will never happen:

Me marrying Eva Mendes.
PSU never losing another football game ever.
Me winning the next powerball.
Me being elected president in 2020.
Me walking onto the PSU football team and throwing for 300 yards and rushing for 100 against tOSU.
A major college football playoff.
The USA annexing Canada.
Joe Paterno actually being my biological father.
Me growing a legitimate beard.
Me starting at power forward for the Celtics.
New Jersey falling into the atlantic.
It raining Yuengling and snowing Bombay Sapphire gin.
More than 2 consecutive days of decent weather in State College.

Well done

If you replaced “me” with me I fully support all of those things actually happening as well!

"The USA annexing Canada."

Could we then get a Canadian university to join the Big Ten as the 12th team, and get ourselves a conference championship game?

Of course they won’t be allowed to play home games after October, since it’s too cold. Especially not night games.

That wouold be cool

Then every time we played up there, we could have all eleven men in motion or whatever they do

Nice

I was gonna post something similar. Just because you think it would be awesome for him to do doesn’t mean it is realistically going to happen.

Savor this week

Because we only get it once a year. The build up to this game and the eventual game itself is like a Holiday. After last year’s win we have the attention of Ohio State, and it’s forming into a real rivalry. Let’s just hope we get some bulletin board material out of the legendary arm-punter himself.

You mean like this
Let’s just hope we get some bulletin board material out of the legendary arm-punter himself.

In the article on the right: http://today.sportingnews.com/sportingnewstoday/20091101/#pg21, he says:

Those (Nittany Lions) fans will try to tear me up because they were one of my choices.
I think it makes him sound a little full of himself. I think we should just ignore him. Make signs about sacking whoever is the second string QB or something like that.

god i hope we get a pryor quote similar to what barkley has been saying about away games

“…i’m gonna just pretend that the crowd is cheering for me, because everyone knows that sometimes booing is endearing and when they scream while we’re on offense, it’s actually trying to confuse the defense! i’m on a D-1 football team getting a full ride…i know lots of things!”

Stupid prediction

If Pryor hasn’t dominated mediocre competition this season, why would he suddenly pull it together against one of the top B-10 defenses?

PSU fans (I hope) would be willing to acknowledge that Clark won’t have it easy next Saturday. OSU’s defense will be his toughest challenge thus far. He’ll regularly be forced to make quick decisions under pressure.

OSU fans, being delusional, conclude Pryor will improve when faced with a better defense. The more likely scenario is that he gets arrogant and tries to prove how good he is, and makes 2 or 3 really bad mistakes. Like fumble, INT or 15 yard sack mistakes.

It really is funny

Every team looks at Penn State and thinks our defensive numbers aren’t real. They think somehow their offense has the magical formula. Mike Kafka tore up the Penn State defense one five-yard pass at a time. TP will surely hang three hundred yards on them.

Yeah. Ok. Maybe we’ll make believers out of them on Saturday. But I doubt it. We’ll most likely just hear more babble about how overrated TP is.

I am praying for a 1994 style beat down.

But that probably won’t even matter because I think they forget that game ever happened.

Speaking of crying
I still don’t understand what is so amusing about the picture. A player upset on the sidelines – is this the first time this has happened? And the constant "Cryor" comments are just as perplexing. How does someone deduce from that picture that he was crying? Man, they really need to get over the fact that he chose us over them. Its getting very petty and pathetic.

I think THEY need to get over the fact that he chose them

I washed my hands of him the second he committed. Now I laugh at the big time QB who can’t QB himself out of a paper bag, regardless if he is from Jeanette, State College, Florida, San Diego, Ottawa or Japan.

In their minds, they can save face about how bad he has been by pointing out that we wanted him too. Ok, we did, yeah so? You think we are beating ourselves up? Think Kevin Newsome, Robert Bolden or PJ Jones care?

Agreed

We’ve long been over that decision. I personally read two interviews with him during his recruitment and knew he wasn’t a Penn Stater, and could even tell that he knew it. We are so much better off it isn’t even funny.
-
Well, of course it’s funny, b/c he’s a buckeye through and through and is a hilarious caricature of the entire Brutus m.o. It sets up so perfectly for us in every respect. He’s got all the brutus faux machismo, education, literacy and attitude, and on top of that, the kid can’t play, can’t learn quarterbacking from those coaches, can’t succeed in that system, and just can’t be any better of a protagonist for us in this awesome rivalry.
-
He’s the best!

Even if he wasn't crying

While the rest of his team is out shaking hands with our players, accepting their loss to a better team, and just generally being mature young men, he’s on the bench sulking like a little baby because things didn’t go the way Sweatervest told him they would when he committed to tOSU.

by dawsonPSU10 on Nov 2, 2009 6:42 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I think we're getting over the fact that Pryor went to tOSU

as well as Pitt fans are over the fact that QB14 chose us over them. Whlie we certainly wouldn’t be worse if Pryor chose us (except that we probably wouldn’t have gotten Newsome, Bolden, or Jones, let alone all three) since he’d still be riding the bench as a redshirt freshman, I’m not really upset anymore that we don’t have him. Even if PSU wasn’t in the running for getting him, we’d still make fun of him and trash talk him, just because he’s a very prominent position player at one of our rivals.
