FIRST...

So I just went to bed 3-and-a-half hours ago…woke up and realized there’s a game today and now I’m too excited to fall back asleep. God I love Penn State football. Here’s hoping for a win that launches a BCS bid.

Can’t wait ‘til 3:30….Let’s Go State!

what stupid things will desmond say today??

probably something about how michigan has an advantage because no one expects anything from them. can’t wait!

I just watched Lock Stock for the first time in like 4 years. It’s way better than Gameday and for those of you with netflix you can start to stream it now and finish before GOtC 2009.

special teams

if Devon Smith or J. Brown does not return kicks today that will be a big mistake

by pstaternj on Nov 21, 2009 9:49 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

if not at the beginning of the game, at least once

i’d like to hope that they’d be ready to return punts by the bowl game

Smith was cutting classes

Doubt you’ll see him in any substantial role.

J.Brown should still have a shot though.

He won’t, but he should.

like the 1 inerception he has thrown in a total of 2 games against OSU

or the 2 picks he threw in the last 3 minutes of desperation against USC in the rose bowl?

if he said he is a INT machine against iowa, i would be inclined to believe him

by thedrizzle on Nov 21, 2009 10:19 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I don't care that he picked us to lose

Just his reasoning makes no sense. It’s like people who are picking us to only score 10 points. There is no reason to think that will happen.

by speedomike on Nov 21, 2009 10:51 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

i basically feel the same way

i just wanted to show statistically his inaccuracy

We decide when you hear the snap count...

by thedrizzle on Nov 21, 2009 11:07 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Only if we lose

If we win, it’ll just be remembered as a win over a 6-6 Sparty team. Just like the Wisconsin game last year. Or the Michigan game last year. Or Illinois both years (to some extent).

This is a big game

in the sense that they can separate themselves from some of the teams in the past that went to MSU and blew it, like ‘97 & 99. I personally would like to see them back up last year’s Rose Bowl season with another 10-win season and possible BCS bowl. When’s the last time we had back-to-back 10 win seasons?

Gameday Notes so far....

Talking about coaches that are underpaid: They mentioned some coach getting paid like $900,000….. Doesn’t Joe get like…. $512,000?

and i LOVE the sign…. “If you can read this sign, you didn’t go to ASU” hahaha

His base salary is around $500,000

But i think last year he actually got paid right over a millie by penn state with bonuses and everything else included in the number. either way he should be mentioned on the list he has what like 4 coach of the year awards

JoePa's glasses.

Yes, that’s why Penn State will get a BCS bid.

Boise State’s got a big matchup coming up with……..Nevada. Ridiculous.

Wedding today.

Going to be able to watch a quarter or so, then I will have to go radio silence to watch the rest when I get back

I see your wedding

And I raise you a wife’s great aunt’s 90th birthday party. Probably won’t see any of the game.

I guess you are stick with also just a wedding.

by PSUinBOSSton on Nov 21, 2009 11:27 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I'm lost

Clearly I’m not a gambler.

Ok how about this? I have to go to my wife’s great aunt’s 90th birthday party and will probably miss the game. That is worse than a wedding.

Boom!

by speedomike on Nov 21, 2009 11:46 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Fixed.

Yeah, I won’t argue with that. But I will say that it is the wife’s sort of distant relative and it won’t be fun.

I actually think there is a good shot for a Rose Bowl win for the conference this year.
