Stefen Wisniewski, Andrew Pitz and Josh Hull were all named CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine First Team Academic All-America today. This matches the entire rest of the Big Ten on the first team.

Also, Megan Hodge was named the CoSIDA/ESPN the Magazine Academic All-American of the Year yesterday.

Well done.

Wonderful

But the questions remains…were these media picks or just the Coaches !?

Huge gradulations to these guys.

The dedication and focus an achievement like this requires is off the charts.

It's hard enough being a regular student w/ a part-time dining hall job

Imagine being a Divsion 1 athlete (and of of the best in the nation at your position, at that) and doing this well in school.
Gradulations!

Well...

They take 12 credits, not 15, and other than Hull, I doubt many football players are taking 400 level engineering classes during football season. And Hull one of the best at his position nationally? Ha.

But impressive, nonetheless.

NittanyWhiteOut.com. Arguably the second best Penn State blog I know of.

I was thinking Megan Hodge with the "best at" line

But regardless, Divsion 1 sports + excellent grades = gradulations!

Tebow

Or in the case of the chosen one, only 3 credits this semester. Of course, it’s also a cumulative award that is based on current season statistics, career statistics and overall academic success. Credits aren’t a factor in the selection process.

NERDS!!!!!!!

No, j/k, in all seriousness, congrats to these guys and gal most of all. They are exemplary of what it means to be a student-athlete, and I couldn’t be prouder (although not surprised) that they are Penn Staters. I can barely hang on in a science major as a regular student, and Hull is kicking ass in an engineering major and playing D1 football, and somehow managing to find the time for both successfully, so huge props to all of them.
