Yeah, so you probably noticed the new BSD facelift by now. I understand there may be some bugs with it. I assure you that there is a team of technicians working around the clock to make this transition go as smoothly as possible. If you happen to see a bug or have a problem, please leave a comment in this thread and I'll pass it along to the SBN technical support team. If you are experiencing a cosmetic problem like an advertisement covering up text, including a screen shot would be helpful.

Please include information on which browser you are running.

hard returns are not showing in posts

ex. 1st paragraph

2nd paragraph (there should be a space in between the 1st and second paragraph. if there is, then its been fixed in the last half hour)

Please don’t go spinning this thread off into a hundred tangents like we usually do. That way I can just send the link to the tech guys and they don’t have to sift through 100 comments of Zug and bacon jokes.

Mike,

This page itself has an error with the bsd logo overlapping the title and time.

I"m running OSX Snow Leopard and Firefox 3.5.4

Other than that it looks great!

2 things

First is a potential bug. A few times so far when I’ve either gone to the main page, only the first article has appeared (refresh fixes it), or when I’ve actually gone into an article/post, only the main text appears (no comments). Refresh fixes this as well, but I think it may also mark all the comments as read (not sure, as so far the times it has happened has been in posts where I’ve already read all the comments).

The second is just a gripe, but if you’re gonna change the format around, would it be that hard to include FanShots into the sidebar of the page (where FanPosts already appear) when inside an article/post?

Another issue

(and by the way I’m using IE8 on Vista)
this is somewhat related to the “things not loading all the way” bug I just posted about, but I was in the Texas vs Penn State??? thread, and the comments and everything SEEMED to load fine (except for the bars in the poll), but I couldn’t reply or do anything (z-button, etc) until after a refresh (which then had marked all comments as read).

Another issue

this one was pretty repeatable.

Whenever I write a comment and then preview it, if I then try to post it it gives me an error (redirects to the SBN error page, saying something went wrong and they’ve been notified of the problem)

Not really an issue but...

The “We Are Not Normal. We Are Legends. We Are Penn State.” at the top of the page looks a bit weak. Maybe its time to beef it up with a larger text or image. :thumbsup:

My two cents

I haven’t had any major bugs or problems, but If they are remodeling so to speak, I do agree that they should include fan shots on the sidebar while in an article.

aren’t showing up. they did yesterday, but a few have reverted to blue question marks (safari).

2 Related Issues

Since the new formatting occurred, the loading speed has been awful. It seems to take forever to load everything on the page. I am on a blazing fast connection at work, so that isn’t it.

Also, I can no longer load the site on my mobile device (Blackberry 8900). It used to work like a charm, now I can’t even view it :(
