Get Out And Vote (Especially In Centre County!)
Turnout's going to be extremely light today because there aren't a lot of contests, but if you're in Centre County and you're tired of the unbelievably crappy job by Mike Madiera and his District Attorney's office (and really, no matter your political persuasion, it's hard to argue that the guy is anything less than incomptent and/or corrupt), get out there and cast a vote for Stacy Parks Miller.

Here's another impassioned plea for SPM from Yours Truly
I can’t emphasize it enough, the future of PSU football is on the line here:

Well, Time For Me To Do My Civic Duty
Heading out for lunch, then going straight to my voting center to bring change to the Centre county DA’s office. Hopefully, it’s a landslide like I’m predicting it will be.

Done and Done
I was one of two people at the HUB voting at 11:00. This might be sad.

Don't you have to be a CC resident to vote?

well
Last year, they were encouraging everyone to register in PA (meaning CC) because a) it was easier and b) the swing state factor. I know a lot of New Jerseyians and New Yorkers who, like me, registered in C.C.

I'm pretty sure I'm still registered in CC from last years elections
Since I haven’t changed my registration back to Delco. However, I don’t know if I had to update my address since I’ve switched rooms and dorms since last year, I’ll try to stop at the HUB and ask.

Just cast my vote for Stacy
and by good ol’ Mike was actually there hanging at my precinct’s polling place.
As I was voting I thought, “Dang, I shoulda asked him ’How’s Lance?’”.
As I was driving back to the office I was thinking he probaly woulda just asked back “Marshall or Shaner?”.

I cast my ballot for SPM earlier, the turnout has been sparse in my polling area too but that’s to be expected for any municipal election. I’m still pretty confident she’ll win in a landslide.

Just for future reference, just search "Suck it" and it's guaranteed to come up
I remembered it being used specifically in a FSU open thread that said “Suck it Bobby!”, so that’s how I found it really fast.

Yeah like Obama is the reason Madiera is such a douchea, it's also the reason he:
withheld evidence illegally in a murder trial, had one of his assistants send sex messages to a witness/victim, relentlessly went after a student photographer doing his job taking pictures of a riot, then when the judge dismissed the charges, he REFILED them against, again a STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHER, relentlessly went after rape charges for Austin Scott (who himself is now a douchea in my book for suing the university) even though the psycho hose beast he was representing had a history of trying to incriminate athletes for rape, and ignored every case he was working on so he was able to focus on higher profile cases like football players caught in a fight or caught with a minuscule amount of pot.
Yep, that sounds like it was alllllllllllllllllllllllllll Obama’s fault.

That's insane. I'm a life-long Republican, and gleefully voted for SPM
And that commenter needs to pay attention to something other than facebook; the CDT is owned by McClatchey, which is definitively NOT pro-Obama. That moron should try reading the Washington Post or NYT – they would see what biased coverage actually looks like.

I think a lot of people
just have great difficulty thinking outside their ideology and voting for the best person for the job (or against a known entity who has proven he can’t handle the position).

yeah, there are some jobs that I never understand why they're "political"
DA and sherriff are two that come to mind. “Well, person A is highly qualified for the job, but they’re a [insert opposing party]. Meanwhile good ole person B is a fine member of the [insert own party here], so they must be better. What’s that you say, they don’t know how to actually do the job, and actually are quite terrible at interpreting the law? So what, they’re not a filthy [insert opposing party].”
