It was not the worst game ever
It was good to see some of the young guys and Jeff Brooks had a RIDICULOUS dunk in traffic. I wish the game had been on TV just so it could be on sports center.

There is video
BigTenNetwork.com streamed it live so there is video.
More importantly, Project Mayhem was in the house for the game and Rally in the Valley sporting jewelry that I think may have cost him most of his signing bonus.

I saw him from the stands, he was talking to Jay and Matt Rice
He still has the faux hawk.

Interesting
Does Talor really need to play 30 minutes in an exhibition game?
Billy Oliver only getting 4 minutes is a bad sign.
Sasa scoring 10 points in 14 minutes is a very very good sign.

For what its worth
I’m pretty sure that I read in the paper that Oliver had a minor hammy or something. Nothing that will keep him out, but maybe that played it safe with him tonight.

Also, Hi, I’m Sasa had a block and two steals without any fouls or turnovers. I think we may have gotten a nice steal there. It will be weird seeing a European guy at PSU that actually contributes.

This is a team that...
won a game 38-33. From what I have seen in the past two years, it doesn’t seem like they will win pretty too often, but they may start winning often. W’s are all that matter.

I was in attendance for that slugfest
and I must say, Tim Frazier is much quicker than I realized… When he and Battle are on the court together we are going to have a very explosive lineup. Also I thought Sasa looked pretty impressive. He wasn’t exactly a human highlight reel, but he played good fundamental, mistake free basketball which is a good sign.
Also, JoePa gave a nice shoutout to the basketball team during the pep rally which was pretty cool.

Not that this matters and
nor do I really care in light of today’s OSU game, but Pitt only beat Slippery Rock 75 to 64, 5 days before we did.
