You could pretty much extend this to the refs in most of the games this year.
I’ve seriously never seen so many blown officiating calls in a season before. I understand the refs are put in situations where they have to make quick and subjective decisions… but still.
I don’t get why Urban Meyer is getting fined for speaking out. It’s their job to do this stuff and they continuously blow it.

ARTICLE 1. a. A player or an airborne player is out of bounds when any part of his person touches anything, other than another player or game official, on or outside a boundary line (A.R. 4-2-1-I and II).
From every angle I’ve seen, he’s still in bounds when he makes the pitch. The question is now which way the lateral went.

Why do teams always use timeouts to prevent a delay of game? I am sure Iowa wishes they had a couple extra timeouts in this situation instead of an extra 5 yards of field position.

Obviously I had to root against Iowa for the conference championship, but I didn’t necessarily want it to happen because of the QB. While I have to root against them again next week (if we win), I hope you get to play with Stanzi back and healthy.

on the prognosis on Stanzi. If he’s back next week and they right the ship, then yes – Iowa is more like us last year. If Stanzi is out longer and Iowa slides to end the season, then it’ll be more like Oregon circa 2007.
