Recruiting following saturday's game?
Was browsing through a few of the recruiting sites and BWI had an article on some of the commits talking about the loss and their feelings. I wasn't able to read it since I don't own subscriptions but wanted some of your opinions on how us not winning the big games at home this year against Iowa and aO$U will affect any of the kids who have commited. Can you see this as a negative? Will possibly some of them think they can compete for playing time earlier and maybe it's more appealing...even though we know how Joe is about playing freshman...
just wanted some opinions.
Thanks for the fanpost! Please do not post any content from a premium site that requires a subscription. Also, if you just want to share a link consider using fanshots instead. Thanks.

I read it
And it didn’t suck. They all commented on how much they dug the experience—meeting each other and taking in the crowd, which they loved. They commented on how the loss sucked, but the positives sounded like they totally outweighed it.

Any news on the non-commits?
"Every player we have, someone-maybe a parent, a grandparent, someone-poured their soul into that young man. They are handing that young man off to us. They are giving us their treasure, and it's our job to make sure we give them back that young man intact and ready to face the world."

That article was only quoting commits
Haven’t seen anything specific from non-committed recruits on the OSU game, but I think we’ve learned that Floyd’s mold is not Penn Stater. Still not sure what to think about Lattimore, other than our backfield is fairly crowded as is.

I wish I could be a highly recruited HS player
Just so I could have fun with telling people I was “interested” with Oregon.

I don't understand how that's fun...
But it HAS to be.

My theory:
Chip Kelly is a high class pimp who sells XBOX720s and Playstation 20s on the side.

Hell yeah!
Would love to see a photojournal of your recruiting trip to Eugene. I’m guessing your ‘dad’ has enough coin to fly you round so you can take all five officials, but doubt that Phil Knight has ever hosted a droid on an official before.

My cousin went to MIT
she’s relatively normal (she now goes to CalTech and let me crash at her place last year for the Rose Bowl).
When I visited her at MIT once, they literally had one of those “figure out this math equation” jokes written up on a whiteboard in her dorm. 3 very geeky guys came up and did it and were laughing hysterically. The math wasn’t that hard, and I solved it, and it definitely wasn’t worth the effort.

I said the math wasn't that hard :-p
it really wasn’t, though I don’t recall what it actually was anymore. But man, those were probably the geekiest geeks that ever did geek.

And she's STILL your doctor?
Of all the people in my life I’d want to be the least bat shit crazy, it’s my doctor.
Unless by bat shit crazy you mean one of those cougars who seek out younger gentlemen, then in that case your doctor sounds hot.

When's your next visit?
I wanna hear what sorta swag OSU offers. And Temple, for that matter.
