Make sure you select CONFIDENCE scoring and rank your picks.

And while I'm at it, congrats to Jimbeau Shoes for winning the regular season pick 'em game. PaJoe came in second with 6 to 4 coming in third. Your humble blogger is quite proud of himself for pulling off a tenth place finish and avoiding the humiliation of losing to his wife.

You're giving Iowa fans a bad rap

I’ve seen this picture posted here before, but usually it’s in some sort of context.

Disagree

In the case of your own team, you give them full confidence. Always.

In my boring life...

this is as real as it gets.

So, I guess, when Penn State wins, yinz will get 34 points and I’ll be spotting you 15 or so points.

I always play to win!!! Especially mini-golf with my (ex) wife.

I think all you have to do is go into the site

Click on My Groups (Black Shoe Diaries)
click on oneof your entries
then the tab “Leave the Group”.

Or…. in your entries rename one (like add a number), modify your picks a little and have two entries

My top confidence is for MSU to lose

But is my top confidence pick #1 or #34

by psu on Dec 16, 2009 8:13 PM EST reply actions

The numbers are the amount of points you get for picking correctly

If you pick MSU to lose, and they lose, you will get the amount of points you’ve designated for that game. So, if you’re very confident, put it at 34 to get 34 points for that game. For less confident picks, put it towards 1 to either gain or miss out on only 1 point.

In summary – 34 = High confidence; 1 = Low confidence.

I'm in

Hopefully I did everything right. I used the same SN that I have here. First time doing the Bowl Mania thing. Definitely had Michigan Sate losing as one of my top confidence picks. No way Sparty pulls the W with everything they’re going through.

Best of luck!

I'm just wondering

Who is going to come in second?

Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face

by psupride on Dec 17, 2009 8:15 AM EST reply actions

Also remember

The Heisman curse is in full effect this year — Texas is about as strong a bet as any. I know you can rationalize all you want, but the Heisman winner’s team has a snowball’s chance in hell of winning their game.

There’s also some kind of voodoo going on with the scores, either ’Bama’s only going to score 14 or Texas is going to put up 41.

I'm convinced the curse is broken again this year

For one simple reason: Ingram isn’t a quarterback.

the real question is

is ingram dumb enough to try a lateral early in the game, after a big run, inside the opponents 20 yd line

We decide when you hear the snap count...
