My grandparents’ 1961 Gator Bowl trip
I usually comment over at Rocky Top Talk, but thought I would crosspost this here as well since it'd likely be of interest to you. This is footage of my grandparents' trip to Jekyll Island and ultimately Jacksonville to watch Georgia Tech and Penn State play in the 1961 Gator Bowl. In the third video, I think you might catch a glimpse of a young JoePa walking with the mascot before the second half starts.

Very cool
Not sure either if that is JoePa (about 1:15 of the third vid), but would guess not likely, for these reasons:
- pant legs extend all the way to his shoes
- doubtful he would drink coffee on the football field, even in ‘61 and even as an assistant coach
- white trench coat doesn’t seem like him (again, even Early Him)
Bonus thought:
- The Lion looks absolutely ridiculous. He looks terribly out of shape.

That's pretty cool
I went to Gator Bowl in ‘68, FSU tie game. Don’t remember any of those site lines!!
Though that may/may not be JoePa, at about 8:00 in second video, good shot of Galen Hall – 25 and Dave Robinson – 80 as they take some sort of time out!
