Ehhhh I don't see it.
12 is a pretty optimum number of teams. You go over that, and scheduling gets messy, it becomes essentially 2 separate conferences.
Black Shoes. Basic Blues. No Name. All Game.

What a stupid stupid stupid story.
The guys says “Anything is possible,” and the reporter writes a headline suggesting someone told him the BT wants 14. Why not write a headline that says “The Big 120?” and get more pageviews out of it? Anything is possible, including a 120 team conference. It’s on the table, in 18 months they’ll look at it, and this is all really relevant news /rant

Back in the 90's the WAC expanded to 16 teams for a few years
I think it was pretty much regarded as a failure, which is why it only lasted a few years.
Why not
have everyone go to a bowl game…it’s only fair, like uh, no TEAM left behind…bowls would be ranked according to the “gift bag”…goodbye BSC (sic).
