Forde Hates Us
Why to watch: To see whether LSU coach Les Miles (27) calls for a quick kick with his team trailing by two in the final seconds. And to see whether the Nittany Lions can dispel The Dash's season-long belief that they're vastly overrated.
Does this guy have an agenda against us? Or so I just need to take off the tin foil hat?

Or . . . .
is it the fact that PSU has not beaten a ranked team and got their clocks cleaned by IA and OSU?
In what way has PSU not been overrated this year?

and how is LSU not overrated?
they lost to every good team they played, on top of losing to a shit (and also overrated, at least at the beginning of the year) ole miss team.
how does forde justify saying a team will lose to team when they haven’t beaten any other ranked team…when the team they are PLAYING has done just that, plus losing a game they should have won (and no, i don’t count their win against georgia when they were #20 as a win against a ranked team…no way is that a top 25 team).

That's not the point
This is classic Forde. He takes a rather obvious statement and acts like he’s the first guy to think of it.
No crap, we’re overrated. I realized that sometime in September. People have been bashing us as overrated for months now.

And besides
I’m betting Forde bases “his” opinion off of polls. And if that’s true, it would be stupid of him. It’s not our fault we stay in the top 15 because other teams lose.

if we are overrated
then who below us is underrated to the point they should be moved ahead of us?
I don’t believe we’re a good team, but I think we’re about as rated as we should be, especially compared to the rest of college football.

exactly what i think
i wrote this lower down in the thread:
i understand that we are not a top 10 team
but how many teams behind us are better? i think we’ve pretty much settled at our equilibrium ranking between 11 and 14. although, i think that may speak more to a less talented overall college football-scape that it is us being SUPER AWESOME #1 (or #13, or whatever).

it's 2 lines, one on each team
He wanted to take a jab at Les miles’s game management skills and say something about PSU.
Fucking relax people!

I think the polls and our record speak for themselves...
I mean…we’re ranked outside of the top 10 because we couldn’t beat Top-10 teams this year. I think the ranking is spot-on…a hair outside of the Top 10.
I just feel like this guy is always out to knock us. Yet he was sweatin’ Joe’s nuts during the 2005 resurgence. I guess I have a sensitive spot with all that.
It's reciprocal
"For me the game wasn’t grounded in reality. It was about the uniform you put on that turned you into a warrior. It was about the mythology of the battle, the victory, the defeat, the struggle." - Mike Reid, PSU '69
It is what it is
Until the Big Ten actually wins some bowl games and knocks off some SEC teams in some high profile games, we’re not going to get any respect. And nor should we.

A little ridiculous
He predicts the Big Ten will lose all but one game. And the sole team he thinks will win? Minnesota.
I mean, really? Could he be more absurd?

Am I the only one
That things Iowa is going to win handily over GT? Think about it, great D-Line vs. a running team. And when GT played one team with a decent DL (Georgia), their offense sputtered.
I also really like OSU over a, in my opinion, over-rated Oregon team that got a lot of mileage for a blow-out over a mediocre USC team.
It's going to come down to what it always comes down to for Iowa
STANZIBALL, STANZIBALL, STANZIBALL (or lack thereof which would probably mean a win)
