this strategy is one of the dumbest i've ever seen
once the defense is called for offsides it would make sense to me to try to give the QB some time since it is a free play and give him a chance to go deep.
what is better 5 yards or a dead QB?
I think we just discovered the real reason they canned bowden.
Isn'r Jimbo the offensive leader?

I mean I somewhat see the idea of discipline at the line until the ball is snapped
and if someone jumps offsides and the ball isn’t snapped, then this is a good strategy, since there won’t be any confusion about if it was a false start or not. But once that ball is snapped, you gotta play (even if it was snapped a count early, which apparently it was, as he wasn’t the only lineman confused…but at least the other guy got involved in the play somewhat.)

discipline is great in some situtations
but can you believe how much of their already limited practice time they waste to teach these kids this useless technique
even wierder
Is when the WR’s for S. Carolina line up in trips and just stand there like statues during the play. Is that really helping? I don’t see how it works when they do it all the time.
