Awesome Article on Russ Rose
I've been 'following' the women's vball performance on BSD, but had never read much about the man behind the success: Russ Rose. What a vintage Penn Stater! Here's a cool article on him in the NYT, which I hope doesn't scare any readers away. It reports on his collection of his own performance stats and his coaching on and from them. Also mentions his predilections for Cuban cigars and swearing. And gives a few of his interesting personal estimations of The Streak. The money quote:
I’ve heard people say that maybe we’d be better served had we lost,” Rose said. “I was kind of wondering what profession they were in. I wouldn’t want a lawyer representing me to think like that. I wouldn’t want a doctor operating on me to think like that.
(also hope the decision to use a 'post instead of a 'shot doesn't get too much flak; peace--jp)
Thanks for the fanpost! Please do not post any content from a premium site that requires a subscription. Also, if you just want to share a link, quote, or video, please consider using fanshots instead. Thanks.

SKYS IS FALLING!
Good call on the article, though. Win 1000 is three wins away, and streak win 100 is two away (I believe, haven’t checked the update). Stay tuned Thursday or Friday for a new update.

SHA! No guff!
I probably would never have seen that article.

I always get interested. when I see references to 'The Streak'
But, as usual….it wasn’t about me. One of my life’s most frequent disappointments.
Yeah, Jtot – poaching on Junny’s turf here. Careful, Sir!
