Alabama cancels classes for 3 days so student and faculty and go to MNC game
As long as they are being upfront with their priorities. And they say that students will have to make up for lost class time, but how exactly do they propose that (or even really enforce it)?

Enforcing...
They really don’t… All you have to really do is fill out a form that meets the criteria of the Inter-states Association for Higher Ed. or whatever the equivalent is down there (if they have one at all) for a missed class day. This could be a class trip on a non-class day, scheduling a guest lecturer or requiring students to go to see a speaker on campus and write a paper about it. As long as the form is on file, thats all they really care about. And I totally agree with the priorities thing… nor does it surprise me either

I think it's an awesome idea
Reinforces student pride and acknowledges that everyone will be focused on the game. If you were in school you wouldn’t want the day after the NC game off classes?

Agreed
I think it’s a smart move. How many kids would actually go to classes those days? I sure wouldn’t.
the only people this excuses are the students that would actually be travelling to the game
You don’t need a 3 day vacation to watch the game on TV

Well it should be noted
I would look for any excuse not to go, maybe I’m not the best to ask on this one.
Sucks that they have school that week
Seriously, we’re off until the 11th, and most of my friends at other schools get until the 17th. Lucky bastards.
