Shiny Little Trophies For Everyone
The awards are rolling in for the Penn State men's basketball team:
Talor Battle - First team all-conference (coaches and media)
Jamelle Cornley - Second team by media, third team by coaches
Stanley Pringle - Honorable mention
Ed DeChellis - Coach of the year (media, Tim Izzo received the coaches' award)
Battle became just the fifth Nittany Lion to earn first-team All-Big Ten honors and the first since Joe Crispin in 2001. He joins Jarrett Stephens (2000) as just the second Lion to earn the honor from both the media and coaches. John Amaechi (1995) and Matt Gaudio (1996) have also earned first-team honors from Penn State.
Sadly, Andrew Ott will just have to wait until next year. Congratulations to everyone on a great season. Please don't blow it by being timid against Indiana.

This season
Congrats to all the award winners. I know now is not the time for reflection, but this season has been a fun ride so far. The best part about it all is that you really get the sense that Ed is building a PROGRAM that will not take a HUGE step back next year. Let’s play loose and take it to the Hoosiers!

I believe Kalin Lucas won player of the year?
Because he goes to MSU. Battle was leading scorer, second in assissts and top 15 in 8 statistical categories. He maybe shouldn’t have won it, but I am jsut wondering if anyone knows where he landed in the voting.

Holy
crap. I just read where a remake of the ‘Last Dragon" is currently in the works, with Samuel L. Jackson assuming the role of Sho’nuff.
