my heart can’t take any more buzzer beaters, how many times have I said ‘this game is over’ right before Battle does something incredible. Even the points to send us into OT at Iowa was incredible, despite our loss.

Speaking of Iowa...
“The $410 billion emergency spending bill that passed the House last month and was approved in the Senate
last Tuesday will keep the government running through 9/30/09. The bill includes $1.8 million to research swine odor
and manure management at a Department of Agriculture facility in Ames, IA. The state of Iowa has 20 million hogs,
25% of all hogs in the nation.”
Friday night at the bars in Ames must be just filthy. Butter and a bag of flour for everyone. Sorry, had to get that dig in.

Ames is Iowa State
They hate Iowa State. Iowa is Iowa “City”.

Yup, well aware
of the “love” b/w the two schools.
I’m sure there are plenty of hogs in Iowa City too.

I guess the NCAA selection committee
prefers Arizona’s “tradition” over this

Clutch
My roommate and I were sitting in Nittany Nation grabbing our things so we could get out before they close off the exit to let the other team leave when we looked up and saw him take the off-balance shot. We were in line perfectly with it and were among the first to know it was good. Battle always finds a way to redeem himself. Whether for the TO against Illinois or for missing those other shots in the last minute last night. Certainly deserving of this ‘award,’ can’t wait to watch him take revenge on Rhode Island in the BJC.

What is the status on Cornley...
If he’s a no go, will be interesting to see if the support staff can rally. Four games stand b/w PSU and bringing home the NIT. Can they get it done without Cornley?

Cornley
Haven’t heard anything. I imagine with a separated shoulder it will be a game time decision unless they do some exams and decide there is damage done.

Freaking Curley does it again
"Breaststroke, free style," Rubin said of his technique, "Let’s see Phelps do that one."

Hope he plays....
…or that’s really going to hurt my NIT bracket…

I read it was just a stinger, not dislocated
If that is the case he should be good to go.
