Football
I miss football season. March Madness helps a little, but really doesnt do it for me. I dont know how everyone else feels, but i can imagine it's mostly the same... I cant wait till spring ball!
Does anyone know where i could find Penn State games from this fall, online? ESPN 360 had lot of games for a while, but is there anywhere else that has them. ive been itching to see us pounding Beanie Wells into ground and Pryor on the bench holding his head in defeat. Or see our absolute thrashing of Wisconsin (one of our many first real tests!). So any online games would be absolute gold.
If none can be found, what are some of your favorite memories from this past season?

I couldn't agree more.
I’ve been so desperate for football news i’ve been checking out THEM blog sites for football news since their spring camp has already started.
you might be able to find some games on piratebay, try searching for PSU there.
Basketball sucks
I’m trying to get into the whole march madness thing but it’s hard. I watched a game the other day and a guy was pushed to the ground, he stayed down rolling around for a few mins. I was like what the hell am I watching and turned it.
rolling on the ground
Isn’t that soccer?

Sounds like Kramer from Purdue
The guy rolls around on the ground more than the Center for AC Milan. I’ve never actually watched AC Milan but it’s a pretty safe bet that I’m correct.
But does the center for AC Milan roll around on the ground more than a Duke player?

haha
yup. i couldnt get into it because of the fast scoring, and deliberate fouling as part of the game strategy.

Download Games
After going through the same symptoms you’ve described last season, I eventually found the medicine: ten yard torrents Sign up and then go here:
http://leech.tenyardtorrents.com/
You’ll need a torrent client like utorrent or bit torrent
I have all of the games from last season plus the last 4 bowl games and a couple random others (some Alabama games, the NC’s, ND Snow Bowl, etc.). Just let me know when you sign up and I’ll seed them so you can grab them. It’s free, legal, and definately worth the effort.

yeah, I have them all as well
except for the Rose Bowl…I just didn’t have the heart to download that one right away, and then I never got around to it. I should grab it soon, though (I’d have to clear some disk space first)

I d/l and watched it to torture myself
I forced myself to watch the first half. It’s even more soul-crushing the second time around — to realize that despite getting absolutely anihilated in the 2nd quarter we were a fumble or errant pass away from being in that game at the end.
Green’s 2nd Qrt fumble = devastating. words cannot describe how bad that hurt
Quarless tripping causing the int wasn’t much better.
Take those two plays away and we were in that game, despite TB’s shabby defensive schemes.

Guess I'll be the one to break the mold...
Yes – I love Penn State football. I’ve already put in for the Thursday and Friday off from work for Blue-White weekend (Thursday for a Phillies game at 1pm, then travel to State, and Friday to avoid the regular football traffic).
But the one thing I’ve always loved about Penn State is the depth in quality sports. Obviously I live through the Icers, but I love following a lot of the other sports too. Following the men’s basketball team this season was amazing and refreshing. Sure, they ended up relegated to the NIT, but it’s still fun to follow them through this lower tournament too.
I’ve always enjoyed keeping close tabs on the other teams – volleyball, soccer, gymnastics. And come Blue-White weekend, I’m as excited to see the football game as I am to catch a baseball game or two against Illinois. There’s a lot of good teams (and good venues) for Penn State. And one good sport season just rolls into the next.
As for great memories from 2008, either D-Will’s return against Illinois or when Bowman destroyed Brian Hoyer when MSU tried their trick play.

I’d subtract the last few seconds of the MSU game from that…my toes just recently thawed out. Stupid D’Antonio or whatever his name is
John Madden told me 90% of the game was half-mental...

I'll never forget that moment as long as I live
Do you think Pryor’s tears started at the bottom of that pile as he watched helplessly as the ball he himself lost control of trying to be a hero tumbled away and into the hands of our defense? I’d like to think so. Makes me feel warm inside.
March
I think March actually is one of the best sports months of the year. March madness and spring training. But, if you don’t like baseball I could see the summer being long. I love football season, but hate wishing away my spring and summer in anticipation.
