THON on the Today Show

Sometime last week the Today Show was going to air a piece about THON. Instead, it got bumped due to the plane crash. After a few delays, they finally aired it. It was also on FOX News in the morning. It's a pretty cool video.

Interesting.

Hmmm……….I guess I don’t have a problem with those words because they are so regionalized. If somebody from outside the Pittsburgh area started using them, I’d probably think they were being lazy :) This whole “mines” “axed” “strenth” stuff just sounds ridiculous to me. “Hurted”…..I’d just tell him the same thing I tell my kids when they are tired…….being tired is no excuse to let your manners go out the window. :) In this case, your grammar.

As an aside……….Your signature……..that is one of the funniest things Costanza ever said. “I SAID……..EASY there big Fella.”. Classic.

In the student's defense

His response very well could have been affected by when they interviewed him. If it was in the early morning sunday hours, they’re lucky they got that much out. I danced in 03 for PSU York and the York Daily Record “followed me throughout the weekend”, and as you read the articles Pre-Thon, first few hours, end of day one, middle of day 2, end of thon, you can see my thought process go to poo.

Staying up all night, is = to 6 beers in your system. Staying up all weekend without sitting, = chugging a keg all at once.

what about staying up 3 nights in a row (though sitting through much of it)

then finally getting a whopping 5 hours of sleep, before going out and drinking 18 beers. What is that equivalent to? Um…not that I ever did that…but if I had, let’s just say, hallucinations were involved.
