You could argue the Big Ten's premier game has become Penn State-Ohio State. It certainly proved true in 2008 and could once again be the case this fall. And Penn State is the last Big Ten home team to beat Ohio State (2005).

I posted something similar in that msg board

We have to make new rivals, and we’re doing it slowly. Ohio State, Michigan, even Iowa could be considered rivals. I still don’t think MSU is even close, and NONE of those teams cause contempt like Pitt does.

If you said, who would you rather lose to if we played, Ohio State or Pitt? Michigan or Pitt? Who would you root for if those teams played each other? Who would you root for in a boxing match, Ed Hightower or Mark May? Yeah you see where this is going.

Root

I’d root for OSU over Pitt, Mich over Pitt, Ed Hightower over Mark May

Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

Re: Hightower vs. May

Is ‘a giant sinkhole opening up and swallowing the ring’ available as an alternate option?

There is a tractor in the parking lot, West Virginia license EIEIO. Your lights are on.

as long as the match doesn't take place in Pitt

a giant sinkhole cannot open up and swallow itself

Three words:

Tactical nuclear warhead.

The only risk is that one of them could possibly survive and become a giant radioactive monster, but that’s acceptable, IMO.

Being 26

I can remember playing OSU more so than playing Pitt. We only played Pitt once when I was a student; my contempt for Pitt just isn’t as great as OSU.
