JayPa Twitter Comments

Just started following JayPa's twitter a few days ago and there were a couple comments regarding the Blue/White game and spring practice so far that I thought may interest people.  A lot of confidence, some Zug praise, and even a BSD mention:

(No idea what the protocol is for linking to a Twitter, hopefully this isn't a problem.)

From http://twitter.com/JayPaterno:

"Won't be easy to gauge progress as we'll keep the game pretty basic on Saturday. We've got some things we don't want to show."

"WR corps is doing well. Can be a major asset for us this fall. They've got to stay healthy. We can be creative with this group."

"Zug had a great spring-don't think he dropped a pass. Don't forget he made key plays in games Vs OSU, MSU & others."

"Both the O-Line & the secondary have started to gel & are starting to play well together as units."

"Sat watch TBs Shane Thompson & Brandon Beachum. Both power runners had good springs. QB Matt McGloin had a good spring too."

"We expect Powell, Zug, Brackett, McDonald & Moye all to do well. They all have played in games & competed in clutch situations."

"I thnk that the WR corps will have a breakout year. It is talented & more experienced than people realize."

And...

"RE: Black Shoes Diary-I don't read much stuff about us. I look for info on our opponents when I check the net & the news."

Thompson

Funny, I’m familiar with Carter, Beachum, and even Dukes, but Thompson’s a name I haven’t heard before. Anyone remember anything about him? I mean, I feel bad b/c he’s a junior and I don’t know much about him… Was he a walk-on?

Also, what’s the status of Carter? I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews on him but I wonder how this injury will set him back.

Thompson

Was a linebacker up until this spring, and has really only played special teams. If memory serves, he went to the same high school has Stephfon Green, and I don’t think he was highly recruited.

Of course Zug didn't drop a pass all Spring

That’s his X-men power. He’s like Magneto except with a football.

*One of his X-men powers

Pretty sure he can heal himself and shoots laser beams out of his eyes.

heal himself?

that would imply that he could be hurt

Plus

I’m pretty sure it’s the X-men who might appear to have Zug powers.

Notice

that JayPa said he didn’t think that GMZ (Grand Master ZUG) didn’t drop a pass…you know why…b/c the coaches can’t even look at him with out being blinded by his aura…you know he is out there and assume that the worst case scenario is that he didn’t drop a pass and only scored 4 times…the other times he was too busy getting all the cheerleaders pregnant

True greatness.

oopspow: @JayPaterno I have a question— guns for coaches on gameday? would cut down on unsportsmanship, imo.

They don't want to scar the children

But Zug is planning on playing on his throne of human skulls (which can levitate) while on the field, but they’ve got to clear it with the NCAA, so they don’t want to spoil the surprise
