2004 was the last of the 'Dark Years',
but what really sparked the late season surge, and that goal-line stand that led into the glory of 2005? Was it simply the players feeling that enough was enough? Better coaching? Underclassmen stepping up?
We may never know for sure. However, it's possible the team took some much needed inspiration, and a lesson on the consequences of dissing PSU from a group you'd least expect.

I don't remember hearing about any of this (which doesn't mean it wasn't well known by the rest of you folks).
I love it - as long as the cheerleaders involved were of the female gender. Were they? The story doesn't really say. PLEASE tell me it was our hot women kickin' some PSU-mocking ass!

"You will take our
stickers, you will!!! Don’t make me herky your ass."
They might have a future as Hari Krishnas or Jahovah’s Witnesses. I suggest you take this copy of Watchtower if you don’t want your soul to burn in eternal damnation.
"You are a tenacious little monkey!"
I mean the cheerleaders were obviously in the wrong in this
but I imagine that the “punched in the face” statement is likely a bit of an exaggeration. It was probably just an accidental slap or elbow while they were trying to apply the stickers. As I said, though, they were in the wrong and shouldn’t have been forcefully applying stickers in the first place.
Nope...
Not the case. I was there, and it was a definite punch in the face. What is incorrect is that she belittled the sports program. She is a PSU alum, in town for a visit and a game. What she did belittle was the insistence on covering everyone in stickers aggressively. When she tried to get out of the book store, they cornered her and got reinforcements to meet them on the street with stickers on all fingers and slap them on her. She tried to get away and got a hay maker in the face for her trouble.
then they sound like douchenozzles
or perhaps douchebags.

I don’t remember that at all. Granted, that was freshman year, and I don’t remember much from that year.
Penn Staters belong at Penn State. The problem with a lot of kids is they just don’t know they are Penn Staters yet.

How's this for a tough cheerleader?
A couple of years ago a cheerleader from my undergraduate school (VMI) didn’t back down from an altercation that happened during a game against The Citadel.

Wow...an altercation between two military schools?
Where’s the discipline we always hear about! I bet they did a lot of push-ups when they got back to the barracks!
I don't think . . .
they got in much trouble. In fact, the alumni association sent out a holiday e-mail with this picture saying “Holiday Hugs from the VMIAA.” A ruckus against a civilian school would have been a different story, but all is fair when it comes to The Citadel.

This picture proves
they never should have let “girls” into those places! Or actually, maybe it proves that it was the right thing to let them in…this lady can obviously compete!
No win situation for him
Either he’s a wuss or the @$$hole that beats up a girl . . . I’ll take wuss any day.
