Okay, Okay, Back To Work.
Too bad these kids are from PSU-Behrend instead of University Park, because the marketing folks in Happy Valley could learn a thing or two from these upstanding, studious, gentlemen. Beats this. And this.
(Still haven't decided which of those is worse. Anyway, hope you enjoyed your long weekend.)

It's like fingernails on a chalkboard for me
I get these horrible flashbacks of being in Beaver Stadium and having those commercials blasting over the speakers and up on the jumbotron and drowning out the Blue Band trying to play a song.
I really have no idea why they play ads for our university at our own games. 97%* of the stadium is filled with either alumni or students. 2% is visitors, who I’m pretty sure have probably decided not to go or let their children go to Penn State. That leaves about 1% who are actual visitors, and I’d assume most of them are friends of students from other universities, so it’s unlikely any of them are going to transfer. So that leaves a fraction of 1% who would actually be targeted in the ads (either kids of alumni, or friends of kids of alumni).
*I totally BS’ed these numbers, I have no idea what the actual %’s are

I'm honestly undecided, but hate them both.
But now that I’ve watched them back to back (AGAAAAAAAAAAAAIN.), the second one is clearly worse. My only real basis for this is that the first one is so awful and ridiculous, that after being bombarded with it for 2-3 years, I didn’t think anything else PSU put out could be quite as bad.
I was wrong. And goodness, the song in the second video couldn’t be any worse. It’s like taking the horrible sucking of Creed and making it even more generic and sucky.

Oh, and BTW
If I wasn’t so in love with that Cantafio vid, then “True mascot is Nitt-a-ny!” would be my signature.

Having seen RRambler
Having watched and actually spent the time reading the ReadingRambler’s BigTeleven preview. Then actually being able to post twice on this thread, he has a need for a life.

Deciding which one is worse
Is like trying to pick your favorite Michael Bolton song, I mean really – is it fair to hate one more than the other?
I think RUTS might have a bigger crush on that original commercial even more so than I did. Ever since I posted it to youtube, he’s made at least one reference/link to it each year.

And, somehow
I think the current commercial is worse.

If you decide to bur your diploma
I will be there.
