MSU @ PSU 2008 replay

Anybody else watching? Home solo w/ baby today, so I'm on my third viewing

Star-divide

Some thoughts:
  • I remembered this game as being out of hand earlier. Surprised 1st qtr was only 7-0.
  • How are we going to be at kicker?
  • Tyrell Sales was underappreciated
  • What has Chris Colsanti done, other than be highly recruited, to get so much love on this board (I am genuinely asking, don't mean to phrase that in such a negative fashion)
  • Watching this game is making me more concerned about the OL and WR
  • Was MSU that bad in this game or should PSU have pushed the ball downfield more all season.
  • Screens worked incredibly well in this game - this is likely going to be much more of a challenge with a less experienced OL.
  • Devlin was a loss but we should be OK.
  • I can't wait for the fall

I enjoyed watching that beat down again

However, I did come away far more concerned about the O-line and receivers then I was before seeing that game for second time. How many great blocks did A.Q. make? I lost count. After watching that game I have no doubt that there will be a significant drop off in those positions.

The good part was watching DC-17 and Royster tear it up.

"Tyrell Sales was underappreciated"

I may have to quibble with this. Can you make a case?

When I say to a kid, ‘Hey, get ready to get knocked on your rear end,’ I also tell him, ‘Learn. Learn why you got knocked on your rear end. --jvp

other than

an excellent play made during the fumble melee against OSU, nothing sticks out about him to me.

I looked at Ohrnberger in the fourth quarter and he looked back at me. And we said, 'We're not losing this game"
