yeah, honestly I wish I wasn’t as interested as I am, but this time of year it’s hard to find anything else to pay attention to… good to know our guys don’t give a crap.

Think about how many top flight guys in HS never pan out in Major D1 ball.

Then think about how some awesome college guys never pan out in the NFL.

My point, star are great to sell magazine and blog hits, but these guys didn’t do jack yet. I am sure some of these 4/5 star guys will be good but so will some 2 star kids.

What were Poz, Norwood, etc? Then you have #14, Austin Scott, old #79…you saw how that worked out.

Callahan Bright!

Now there is a name out of the five-star past. Ended up a garbage man and never set foot on F$U’s campus.

What was the WRs Name

Super fast, kicked off the team for robbing Leon Washington’s house I believe, while Leon was the captain. Can’t think of the name.

Figured it out

Fred Rouse, and it was Lorenzo Booker whom he stole from.

What are the chances we are having a

ND, USC, Fl effect?

Since the boom of the recruiting services, we haven’t been a huge player on the national scene (2000-2004). 2 b10 titles in 4 years, 9 wins including a bowl victory as a low point. What are the chances that an offer from PSU now counts for some “star power.”

I guess we’ll find out when they “watch” the tape on Levi.

Good article

When you think about it, if you’re a junior on the team, you’ll be long gone before most of the kids we’re recruiting today ever see the field. So why should you care about recruiting?

But I bet it’s pretty funny when a five star kid comes in and pukes after an hour with JT.

Or if your someone like Little Red

you don’t want to know about the 5 star QB that gets to come in and steal your spot

Or in the case of the ham sandwich

You realize you should have transferred when you realized Brandon Ware was going to commit and was looking at you funny…

Eh

Even then I bet they don’t care. I’m sure Kevin Newsome isn’t sweating Jones and Bolden too much because he’s confident in his abilities and he’ll have the advantage of being Daryll Clark’s understudy for a year before they ever set foot on campus.

Now when the kid gets on campus and starts competing against you in practice that’s another story. Then they sit up and take notice of who the top dogs are.

Or it could be a defense mechanism...

I'm glad the players don't waste time...

following recruiting. However Quarless brings up some good points that I hope every player on the team follows. If PSU is a family atmosphere, the players need to pay as much attention to these recruits when they are on campus as possible.

I personally thought from a recruits viewpoint that Astorino came across pretty assy.
