Bolden to decide Friday
How convenient is it that the day that it is announced that PJ may miss his entire senior season, is the same day that Robert Bolden informs Scout that he will announce his college choice this Friday. He will be deciding between Oregon (its the cool thing to do), Louisville, and Penn State. My money is on us, obviously.
On a side note, I am sure that PJ will get through this injury just fine and I doubt that he will miss the entire year. I just hope it doesn't become one of those nagging injuries that flares up throughout his career.

Iowa offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde could miss some game action after undergoing surgery.
At least two players who played prominent roles for the Iowa football team the past two seasons will not be available for duty at the start of this season.
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz confirmed Monday that junior linebacker Jacody Coleman has decided to leave the program and that junior guard Julian Vandervelde of Davenport has undergone surgery that likely will sideline him for the early part of the season.
The announcements came amid widespread speculation on Internet message boards that running back Jewel Hampton suffered a knee injury Friday during offseason workouts. There was no confirmation of the Hampton injury from Iowa officials.
Coleman, a 6-foot-3, 240-pounder from Beaumont, Texas, was projected as a possible starter at middle linebacker last season but was beaten out by Bettendorf’s Pat Angerer. He saw action in 22 games the past two years, including all 13 last fall, and collected 52 tackles in his two seasons.
He is the 10th player with remaining eligibility to leave the Iowa program since the end of last season.
Vandervelde was listed as the Hawkeyes’ starting left guard at the end of spring practice after starting the last nine games at that position last season. He also started six games at right guard in 2007 and played briefly at center in the Hawkeyes’ spring scrimmage in April.
Iowa officials did not reveal the nature of his surgery, only that the 6-3, 300-pound lineman would be "limited’’ when the season begins Sept. 5 against Northern Iowa.
“We were hopeful that Julian’s injury could be healed through normal rehab, but it became apparent surgical repair was the best path to take,‘’ Ferentz said. "Julian may miss some playing time, but we are optimistic he will return to full strength very early in the season.’’
Hampton, projected to replace record-setting Shonn Greene as the Hawkeyes’ top running back this fall, was the topic of considerable discussion on Web sites the past few days, although there has been no official disclosure of any injury. He rushed for 463 yards and seven touchdowns as a freshman last fall.

Hmm
It did register in December.
Whatever, that’s beside the point. 1) I don’t see what this has to do with Robert Bolden, and 2) you didn’t post a link.

But it only has two posts since then, both of which occurred today
and those two posts just happen to say the exact same thing, except one was titled “Hurting in Iowa”, this one is Problems in Iowa.
At first I thought it said "Bowden to decide Friday"
I thought he was deciding to finally retire.

Chances are good considering of those three, we're the only one he's ever visited
but I honestly reserve all excitement until it’s official. There was also a good chance (in fact a majority chance if I remember right) we landed Jelani Jenkins last class, didn’t work out. Or Pryor for that matter, but that might have actually been the best thing to happen to us that year, and I think most of us realized eventually he was putting on a show.
I don't think it was a "majority chance" but yeah, a good chance we'd get Jenkins
except for the whole fact the other team that wanted him won 2 of the last 3 MNC games. Pryor we were never that good of a chance. We weren’t on his list until his dad made him reconsider us. Then if I recall correctly he never even made an official visit (though he’d been to PSU numerous times), and made his decision. I think people pretty much always knew he was going to OSU but PSU came into the mix towards the end as a decent outside shot.
Now Mike Shaw…that’s a good example of “I’ll believe it when it is official”
