I'm all for limiting the reproduction/streaming of video from the game
and maybe even audio (but really, who can produce audio that is worth listening to at a game when everyone around you is screaming too much). But limiting people from providing written descriptions? They see a serious threat here? Why would anyone want to follow someone’s live blog/thread and NOT watch the game? I don’t see this jeopardizing TV contracts one bit. And if someone DOES manage to be able to provide a written account that rivals or exceeds the similar content put out by the networks/ESPN/whatever, I’m sure they’ll just be offered a job with the company anyway, and voila, no more competition.
