Hype Machine: I Make Big?

44

An admission from one of it's own processors? Hey, Doug: Is it a testament to Terrelle Pryor's ability or an indictment of the Big Ten that he is preseason offensive player of the year? I mean, his competition was Penn State's Evan Royster and Darryl Clark and Illinois' Juice Williams? That's not exactly Tim Tebow, Colt McCoy, Jahvid Best or Josh Nesbitt. In my opinion, it is pretty scary how fast the Big Ten has fallen. I think Pryor has ability, but for someone who's about as accurate as Ricky Vaughn to be preseason player of the year speaks to a dramatic lack of talent. -- Jeff Huber, Bay Village Hey, Jeff: I think it's an indictment of the Big Ten and also an instance of the hype machine overheating. [...] Pryor is going to win his fair share of awards. But it's better for everyone, the Big Ten included, if he earns them. [H/T to DocSat for the link, Mgo for the reference.]
