Paul Jones wants 4 national titles at PSU
PSU commit Paul Jones talks about his ankle injury and his goals for his senior year and career at PSU. Sounds like a pretty motivated guy. Watching him and Bolden and Newsome battle things out in the next few years should be quite fun.

I feel dirty
Damn Jimmy the Pickle for ruining any time from now on that a kid says something like this. Damn him to Hell.
"I thought the kid we were using had the potential to be a good quarterback, and I blew that one." - Joseph V. Paterno
I love that, unlike when Williams came in and it wasn’t until the preseason that the recruits started talking about NCs, these boys are all talking about them already. Coxson said he wanted to win at least one in his announcement video (which, btw, was when I really fell in love with the kid – I feel like he’ll keep himself under control to make his family proud). Does anyone have a link to that vid?
Didn't we learn from Paulus, Clausen, and Chris Leak (although he actually did get one)
No one wins 4 national titles….
hell even Tebow is ONLY going to have 3

Easy son.
Why don’t you graduate High School, have your mommy and daddy drive to campus in their mini-van, buy some easy mac and microwave pop-corn for your dorm room, figure out where the Fourm Building is, go to practice, pick up a copy of the play book, read it about 200 times, work with the scout team, earn your way on to the field by busting your ass in practice, and start a game or two.
And then, very humbly say, I think that if we work hard, and stay focused, this team has a chance to go undefeated and compete for a National Title.

I never had a problem finding
the Forum. For me it was EE west. I think I missed the first 2 English 30(?) classes wandering looking for this building.

I like it.
I like a young man with the confidence that he can help bring national titles to Penn State.
Bleeding blue and white and black and gold.
I hate to poke fun at you guys
but some of you are embracing his (over)confidence, while we have condemned The Emu for saying the same thing. Granted, Emu also predicted he’d win the heisman all four years as well, but the MNCs were a common goal between these two. Also granted, we have a much better coaching staff. Jesse has it right above, I’m all for confidence, but he’s got to keep a level head on his shoulders. One other difference between the Emu is that there is going to be a great competition for the starting position between great athletes.
That being said, I don’t think any less of Jones because of a statement made by a kid still in high school. He’s got great confidence in himself, and more importantly, in his teammates. He realizes, like a lot of us do, that even at this moment there is something special about this current recruiting class, and it’s not even over yet. And also that for the first time in a long time, we are confident that we’ll be able to start competing each year for great seasons, not just every few. So I wish him all the best and for a speedy recovery. He’s already headed for a great accomplishment of being the first person ever to graduate early from his high school, which speaks volumes about his work ethic. I look forward to watching him develop and thrive the next few years.

Also, PJ isn’t going around flashing rings at press conferences and taking stretch Hummers to campus.

There's still plenty of
time for all that. Give the kid a chance. If you want to be the best you have to copy the best (but then be better than them).

I had meant to also add something along those lines
Emu is a egotistical doucheabag and always has been, who just happened to suffer the karma bitch slap that should happen to all egotistical doucheabags: he failed (so far anyway, and let’s hope this year as well). Jones on the other hand is a great kid, great drive, not afraid of competition, didn’t get an ego because he got a fifth star on Scout, and just all around Penn State attitude.
My point was that a few comments said they loved hearing this level of confidence from a high school kid, but we’ve been extremely critical of Emu’s lofty goals that he’s failed miserably at, but now all of the sudden it’s OK to say when it’s our recruit. It just seemed a bit hypocritical to me.
