Brandon Ware Breaks Foot; Out One Month

So sayeth the Flounders:

"He was just running (in practice),'' Paterno said of Ware's injury. PSU's defensive tackle rotation had already been thinned by the loss of Milton Hershey grad Abe Koroma, who transferred to Western Illinois after Paterno said Koroma wouldn't play in 2009 due to personal issues.

Paterno said he spoke with team doctor Wayne Sebastianelli about [Ware's] injury. "He'll be out at least 3-4 weeks,'' Paterno said of Ware.

Gotta love Flounders’ attention to detail and proofreading.

I'm pretty sure the content

is the fault of the Patriot News in this case. Pennlive just licenses the content from the Patriot (and a few other midstate rags).

Or does Flounders write a blog that is specific to Pennlive?

…lots of pressure on the big boys’ feet. See; Ming, Yao.

I was just about to post this

Brandon just said so on Twitter…he said it’ll be 6 weeks. He’s having surgery tomorrow.

Tough Loss

I was looking forward to seeing what the big man could do…I was also hoping I could post an actual game photo of him and not the photo with him and James Terry….

See Rambler?

This is why you can’t be ahead in the countdowns. You missed #20, Mauti goes down. You’re one day off, making Friday 0 days till kickoff instead of one, Ware breaks his ankle.

Seriously?

Dude!

Who was that aimed at: me or Rambler?

If it was at Rambler, yes I’m upset as well.

If it was at me: don’t shoot the messenger, I just work type here

Don't make me quote Gandalf!

A jtot is never late. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he intends to.

Same goes for posting. (warning, about to blow your mind here) Consider it a multi-aimed post, weaving through the fabric of spacetime. ‘Seriously?’ follows directly from the information you provided. (now picture an office or dorm swivel chair), and ‘Dude’ is directed at Rambler for this most monumental of jinxes. I should add mush in there since he was supposed to be rambledroids’ fault-tolerance.

Yeah I wasn't sure if the "Seriously?"

was aimed at me like I was cheap shotting Rambler or something, thats why I wasn’t sure.

You and Dawson, all this crap about jinxes, it’s no wonder you like that homer Simmons, jtot.

Crud.

Is anyone left to play D Line?

Or are we switching to a 2-7-2 defense?

At least it would limit the big plays...

isn’t that what our “soft zone” does?

Well...

No doubt this (and the whole Koroma thing) really hurts our depth at DT. After Odrick and Ogbu, we’ve got Devin Still and Chima Okoli, the latter of whom presumably moves up to the second team. That’s a pretty excellent group of four guys, but after that things seem to drop off a bit. There’s Tom McKeown, who once looked like a player with promise, but who hasn’t done much since his injury a few years ago. And then our sixth man has to be Jordan Hill, the freshman from Steelton-Highspire, who has a great deal of potential, but obviously lacks college playing experience.

So, it would make a lot of sense to play Odrick and Ogbu quite sparingly in the first three games and get the other four guys as much experience as they possibly can.

The rash of injuries (and the Koroma thing) at d-line lately is probably the first thing so far this year that has me a little concerned.

In other news, per the Collegian: Wallace may be playing Sat.

JoePa quote:

Cornerback A.J. Wallace won’t start, but he may still find time on the field against Akron this Saturday.
“I had put some rules down, that he had to get certain grades, which he got in the summer time,” Paterno said. “I put some other rules down and he’s abided by them. He may end up playing some on Saturday.”

Karoms?

What’s up with the “personal issues” so he won’t play in 09 to the transfer to Illi? Something stinks in Denmark here. Not blaming Joe but what really happened? Was is a Joe suspension for school issues or something else?
