A gift for Rambler, and other "fans" of Guido's "Classic Day"
For those who were in attendance on Saturday, you already saw that "everyone wear tie dye" was an EPIC FAIL. I took some pics from the student section to illustrate this, which I thought you'd like to see.
The group down in front of the endzone, completely decked out in tie dye is their "Great Show" squad or something like that. Essentially Guido's gang who "lead" everyone else participating in the theme days. You can see a few rainbow tie dye shirts in the stands, but this was zoomed in, looking zoomed out you can see more people decided to don the Blue and White over the psychedelic shirts:
While obviously you can't see the JR/SR section since that's where I was taking the pics from, I can assure you, it was even more sparse there.
And I don't know if they showed or announced this on TV, since I haven't caught a replay of the game yet, but as a special gift to Rambler, I got a few pics (granted not great ones) of the original Reading Rambler who was there as an honorary captain for the coin toss, which was truly the only "Classic" thing they needed for a Classic Day:

Pretty sure we were right next to each other during the game.
"I'm colonel cool! And I'm the captain on this rocket to the stars!"
I was in row 19 in the Jr section
I was literally lined up right with the endzone, which was awesome, except for that miss on 4th down when we couldn’t rush it in.
goal line stands...
getting tired of seeing that two weeks in a row now. March all the way down there and come up empty.

Same here, might have been a few rows closer but just about the same place. The Junior section is so much better.
"I'm colonel cool! And I'm the captain on this rocket to the stars!"
you should try the senior section sometime....
There’s actually nothing stopping you from coming over to the senior section. For the last 2 weeks my other junior friends have gone through the junior serpentine and then met us before going into ticket booth 13.

Got you beat
SA as a sophomore, same section, but Row 9 against the tunnel.

Haha...
I guess I’m a ray of sunshine today.
These theme days are just another way we’re moving the attention away from the game and onto the fluff that surrounds it. Obviously, the football isn’t enought for a lot of people, so we’re doing stuff like this to keep those folks entertained.
My question is why?
We don’t need to stoop to this level to get people to come to football games. Just stop all this crap. If people don’t want to come because we don’t have giant tie-dye days and “I like to move it move it” being pumped in, who cares? There are plenty of people who just want to see the team, and if we ditch the “What’s football? Yay tie-dye!” crowd, then we’ll really have a football crowd.

Um, because ticket price is all about marginal demand?
You need to have as much of a waiting list as possible to justify a higher price for the tickets you’re selling. If that means pumping in crap to pique the interest of another 5000 people, then Curley is all for it.

when was the last time
penn state had any problems selling tickets? 2005…maybe?
good football is all that is necessary, all else is superfluous.

If we're going to be a minor league baseball team
Can we at least get some free bobbleheads or “dollar dog” days?

fav minor league endorsement
bingo, where each bingo # is a specific event in the game (i.e. center fielder hits a single, double, etc.). however i think that would require too much paying attention to the game and knowing who ppl are for some gameday goers.

I feel like it wasn't done to change the atmosphere...
but just a poor idea that was thrown together because they can. Like Hollywood’s infinite number of remakes and retoolings of movies that were perfectly fine and classics.
