"We should have beat them by two or three touchdowns. Easy, man,"

Just maybe a little over-confident for someone who has proven almost nothing on the field and has won ZERO big games. Grow up, I hope you succeed at somepoint so I don't feel foolish for once wanting you on my favorite team.

Honestly...
As good as their defense was last night, with a better passer (and less conservative playcalling) I think Ohio State might have won by two scores.

So basically if he was a better QB they would have won.
I might agree. But saying you should beat a team like USC, by 2 or 3 scores, EASY? What has he or tOSU done recently that says they should have won easily? By only losing by a field goal, they far exceeded expectations, he makes it sound like they underachieved.
No, you SHOULD have beat Navy by 2 or 3 scores easy. Which you didn’t do. Its good that he wants to accept blame for his team losing, but he has a few comments after each game that just make me scratch my head, even if you think that, why say it? It sounds like an excuse.

Agree
If Bausserman was primary QB, and Pryor was primary WR and came in often to run the wild-cat? They’d have blown out USC. Hell, they’d be a scary, scary team. Bausserman has a hell of an arm from what I saw in their spring game.

I thought the same thing in their Bowl game last year when Boeckman passed to TP. He would make a scary good tall WR.
But hey, he’s the OSU QB, the king of the world!!

I was impressed with Ohio State's defense
…. at the same time, the perfect example of Pryor’s ability to run an offense was the last thirty seconds of the game. If you take away that one long pass they hit, OSU’s offense was completely ineffective. Many of their passing downs looked more like night at the improv, meaning the actual play was scrapped two seconds in and it turned into a free-for-all.
I was suprised by how normal USC looked.
For almost the whole game they just looked suprised that they were not winning by 50 points. They looked good on the last drive, but in the final analysis, looked pretty beatable.

Agree 100%
Cal will beat them on 10/3. Everyone will call it a “huge upset”, but it really won’t be.

TP...
Is that scrambling about and flailing of arms looking panicked and confused what the experts call “athleticism”? Is that what they are talking about?

I think he used his 50 cents to by a coke.
By the third quarter I just started calling him dummy. It’s all the nickname that guy needs.

You're more kind than me
The closest to PG-rated that I called him on Saturday was ‘Jackass’.

I was calling him “Bitch-ass Pryor” but then I realized that “Pryor-ass Pryor” is more realistic.
That dude is a wide receiver.

I was calling him "choker"
It certainly seemed fitting. He just needed those bulging cartoon eyes to go along with the pouty mouth.

Hey Pryor

Call me when you win something, other than the “OMZG HEISMAN!” from the media.

I cringed.......
when OSU kicked that FG early in the game when down on the 1. No way Pete Carroll or Urban Meyer or hell….maybe even Mac Brown kick that FG in that situation. MHO.
"Art...saw this guy tackling full speed on the gravel, then calmly picking rock chips out of his knees and elbows as he hustled back to the huddle. He didn't have much meat on his bones, but he used everything he had. We got Lambert as the 46th pick of the draft."

I really don't think he meant what everyone seems to think he meant.
In context, I took that as “Given that we were in almost total control for most of the game, and USC couldn’t really get anything going on offense til the very end, we should have beat them by two or three touchdowns easy, and would have if I had performed better.”
Not “My assumption going into this game was that we would easily beat USC by two or three touchdowns because we’re amazing and they suck.”
Maybe I’m giving him too much benefit of a doubt, but that’s how I took it. If he meant the former, I’m not sure how you can watch the game and not agree with that. If he meant the latter, I agree, he’s a classless idiot. (And he may be anyway, even if that’s not what he meant.) But let’s not crucify him for something he didn’t say.
My take
It’s the Fred Durst model of self deprication- self-aggrandizing by trying to look humble. You can harp all you want about things being your own fault (see his comments after last year’s PSU game), but when you fail to learn from your mistakes, it looks more like you’re saying what you think everyone wants to hear rather than what you really think.
Until TP leads a come-from-behind win, or demonstrates leadership beyond jumping around like an idiot on the sideline, I refuse to believe that he has 1/10,000th of Darryll Clark’s real-world value as a player.

Its a shame we may never kow what he actually means or what he THINKS he's saying
Because he has massive verbal diarrhea, and simply can’t conversate in a normal fashion.
But, his comments continue to astound me, so I give him very little benefit of doubt.
