PrintIt's Thursday night. I'm in college. Tomorrow is Friday, the next day is PSU football. I have no work to do tonight. Since the last open thread was a big hit (granted we were hoping for a Bowden loss more than anything), and an entertaining game, I figured I'd start us off tonight for Georgia Tech v. Miami. I don't have anything better to do, although I will have to grab some dinner at some point during this game, so by all means, if you're as bored and devoid of activity, enjoy.

It's early, I know, but I was expecting GT to absolutely dominate Miami

I've always hated when teams have to play football on baseball fields
It just looks ugly, and makes the grounds guy look like he went bat sh*t crazy and used herbicide on half the field.
IMO
Despite the fact that the Orange Bowl was turning into a shitColumbushole, they need to write a rule: Miami should only be allowed to play in the OB.
Orson had a post on EDSBS about that with pics of the OB after destruction began. It would have been perfect for Miami to play in a stadium that had been demolished, fans sitting and standing like prisoners.
PERFECT atmosphere for DA U. Twas not to be, I guess.

I smuggled a smoker and a charcoal grill into my dorm room. I’ve been cooking them all day, just putting the finishing touches on it. And then, go figure, the smoker sets off the fire alarm, and now I’m in deep trouble with Housing for bringing a grill into the dorm. A GRILL! But anyway, thats why it took so long, we had a long chat about how you “almost set the building on fire” and “what the hell were you thinking?”. But the ribs are totally worth it.

I’m in the college of agriculture, I can go STEAL a lamb and cook it fresh
Fun fact, I actually had a class in the PSU butcher shop called “Animal Products Lab”, AnSci 208, where we cut up meat from beef and pork carcasses (they had lamb, but we didn’t work with it), then the last few classes we went to the creamery to “learn” about dairy production where we made fresh ice cream which was AWESOME

They don’t talk about the crappy ACC because they know the ACC is crappy and have no expectations of the ACC. And as long as Miami sucks, there’s no big, exciting team to crap on.
