POLL: Who's your NFL team?

I'm curious about the breakdown of NFL fans among the Penn State nation.  Do you go to more college games than pro or vice versa?  How much money and/or time do you spend on either college or pro?  One of my favorite things about State College was going back and forth with sports fans from the other side of the state. I've listed the teams in the order I'm guessing will have the most fans on Black Shoe Diaries.

Wow

I am very surprised that so far there are more Bills fans (2) than Steelers fans (0). Being a Bills fan, they killed me on Monday night when the just gave up the game to the Patriots.

Woops, I meant Eagles fans, not Steelrs fans.

Perhaps the Eagle fans are unwilling to admit it?

i sort of follow the seahawks and the bills, but i spend way more time and money following the college game than the pro game.

I mean nothing by this (I, like most of America, do not care about the Jets).

It was just too easy a joke.

Just because the Steelers won last year doesn't mean they will win this year...

This from an Eagles fan sitting behind me at the Akron game. I replied, “you realize they have also won 5 other times, so the odds are better that they will win again his year than any other team.” I’m not that big of a Steelers fan, I just really like arguing with Eagles fans.

I also have a death wish.

"Just because the Steelers won last year doesn't mean they will win this year..."

yeah but it does mean they have the most titles of the SB era! YEAH BABY.

Best quote in the history of the Collegian – the night of SB XL and the Steelers win it. Some pathetic eagles fan is interviewed and he says “this is the worst day of my life”!! HAHAHAHHAHAHA Why would you give us that kind of ammo? Why would you allow Steelers fans such sweet victory when we were already hoisting the Lombardi? The momentous victory was enough, but that kind of schadenfreude pushed me into a whole new maniacal level fandom. Still waiting for PSU to do something of that magnitude…

ah memories.

I grew up in the 717 so I feel for you Eagles fans. And that was BS what happened to Mcnabb in Carolina this weekend. Bunch of bums they are.

Pretty sure he said that as a joke…

The rivalry between the Eagles and Steelers is so forced and fake anyway – and it only truly exists in the no man’s land of central Pennsylvania. The teams play one another once every four years, and were at one time the same team. Yes, that sounds like the recipe for a natural hatred.

I will say that I always gave a friend of mine crap for saying he liked the Steelers because they were the local team – Where we live in Pennsylvania there are 5 NFL teams closer to us than Pittsburgh (BAL,NYG,NYJ,PHI,WSH).

I grew up in harrisburg

and I hate listening to the drivel of the typical eagles fan. I have no real hate for anyone who rocks Blue and White on Saturdays though.

The worst is reading Steelers websites and hearing people I normally like talk their nonsense on PSU since they are Pitt fans. It’s the worst.

I'm with ^THIS GUY^

Though I still cant get used to Favre in commercials and remembering ‘oh yeah, hes our QB now…’

Though really, I’m usually so footballed out by the time Sunday rolls around I don’t watch too much NFL anyway. I haven’t been in the TV area for the Vikes to see any of their games for 6 years so its been a while since I watched many of their games.

Yeah

It’s either Monday Night or if they play the eagles or steelers. I am trying to go to the game in Pittsburgh this year. Never saw the Vikes in person, I would love it.

Skol Vikings!

Still not sure what I think of Favre though. I think as long as he keeps avoiding throwing interceptions, I’ll be moderately okay with him. If he decides he wants to go all gunslinger on us though, that’ll be a recipe for disaster.

I thought the bandwagon was empty . . .

which is the way I like it. I purchased my first Dallas baseball cap with my very own money as a kid the season that Aikman was a rookie and they lost every game. Nothing was worse than seeing the bandwagon fill over the next few years. I’m glad there’s more room these days.

That said they are “America’s team” (mentioned just to incite!)

The "America's Team" thing is the reason I hate the Cowboys and Braves,

It is so incredibly arrogant and obnoxious. Especially with the Braves because even when they where awesome they couldn’t sell out a playoff game.

The “cocaine” cowgirls, well, F them, I think everyone has a reason too. And I am not even a divisional rival’s fan.
