BSD Mike will be in town

Yes it's official. BSD Mike will be making the trek to Happy Valley on Saturday. He will be tailgaing in the fields behind Medlar. Usually located between center and left field areas. Look for the "Jolly Roger" Flag and the Captain Morgan bottle. He has left the "Grotto" in Houston. We might be  visiting the "GameDay" Set in the morning but we will make sure he is there for the afternoon. This is not a "BSD Corporate Tailgate", so food and beverages will not be provided.

Better believe it

She drives me crazy with this twitter and social networking stuff. I’m paranoid about it ever since I heard the story of the couple that twittered for weeks about the vacation they were going on, and then they twittered while on vacation. When they came home their house was robbed.

You need to be careful with this internet stuff. My brother in law works for an attorney general and he’s got all kinds of stories of child molesters who cruise flickr accounts and mommy blogs. Bad guys know how to use the internet too.

Totally

you hear some pretty crazy stories…today’s need to tell everyone what you are doing at every moment can come back to get you…

Even in college when people use AIM…it’s all bad news.

True enough

I know I get carried away on here with personal tales and such, but it’s such a fun alternate mode of expression. And I tell myself it’s the only place I go in blogistan. Plus, the people (and droids) here are so much fun, it does feel like I’ve extended my Penn State family.

AND, you’re absolutely right. Even in blogistan, discretion is the better part of valor (or, in this case, expression).

Seriously though

it’s not like people don’t know his real name…which is a rather common name, but now that Mike’s finally on Facebook it seems like everyone could know what he looked like. I’m a photographer, anyway, so there are a ton of pics of Mike out there on the internets…

Facebooks' servers

are private and not open to the evils of the rest of the interwebs. A google search will not turn up any hits that reside in those friendly confines. Those pics are private until Facebook tells you otherwise.

until Facebook tells you otherwise

in some barely announced fineprint mod to their privacy policy. Which, by the time you find out about, will have been too late to stop them from earning a pretty penny on the sale of your ‘private’ content.

Besides,

I’m also talking about all the photos on my Fllickr stream, which are totally public, although most of them are just labled Mike, or “my dorky husband”, or “my studly husband” depending on the mood. Only reason I titled that one BSD Mike and PSU Uncle is that is exactly what I thought of when I saw that photo of them in the matching shirts.

I don't know

Not your most glorious defense. But also, this offense so far isn’t also your worst. If you ducked the banhammer for the bware retweets, you should probably be ok.

You’ve probably also just given MikePa more ammo to let his hair down (so to speak) this weekend.

Zug doesn’t read books. He stares them down until he gets the information he wants.

Funny thought

He’s probably asking all his freshmen teammates, “Man, when are we supposed to find time to sign all these thank you notes? How many did you get?”

And they’re like, “Uh, none.”

Oh, so that's what that is

My parents let me know I got a letter from “Uplifting Athletes” and I figured it was something related to that. Guess I’ll just have to remind them to add that in the next “care package” they send to WI.

Everyone should just introduce themselves

as Rambler.

You have no idea

Top 10 reasons I wish I were ReadingRambler:
10. Being a droid might not be halfbad
9. I could unabashedly sing the praises of my beloved black heart gold pants
8. I could me a thousand times more famous on BSD than IRL.
7. I could {insert noun here} SMASH my way to posting supremacy
6. I could pass 10,000 posts before the Meatchicken game this year
5. I could wear tee-shirts to cold September games
4. I could do a count down to basketball season fanpost series
3. Lenny Moore was really phuquing good
2. I could come out of the closet for Brian Cook
1. I could tease jtothep for predicting Notre Dame success

Dude, when I have ever come out of the closet for Brian Cook?

And I wasn’t teasing you, I was mocking you (said mocking will probably cease soon, all jokes get old). Learn the difference!

Ahhh, and now chastisement

Completes the application of the timeworn BHGP script. I stand corrected! For my part to you, it is far more teasing than mocking: I can’t remember too many others than you who have brought in links to mgoblog, wherein lies my tease.

Btw, I’m in for the thread tonight if still allowed.

um, I'm pretty sure he's the one that said PSU's O-line was only "average" last year

seriously? average? for what, the NFL?

I think this was before the OSU game, but I don’t remember for sure

I realized conclusively at that point that none of these analysts (especially on ESPN, but especially Todd McShay) had watched a single down of PSU football yet that year. I then stopped paying attention to anything any of those talking heads said.

robert smith just said we have offensive AND defensive line problems

defensive line problems? have they been “o-line” terrible this year? have i actually not watched all 3 games this year?

OH NOES

Too lazy to make a fanpost on this, but Eric Thomas is reporting a source told him Sean Lee is out for Saturday. Nittany Hotline with JoePA is coming up in a few minutes, he’ll surely address it.

joe pretty much confirmed both of those

lee is “very doubtful” i think he said.

…but on the upside, bowman has been practicing all week and will play.
