Blasphemous Question
Interchange DC17 for either Lord Tebow or McCoy, and how does that change the national championship aspirations of each team?
The question is not if you'd want to make the switch, but how you think the fortunes would change. While I love DC17, I can't help but think that PSU's standing would be improved by having a truly elite (flinch) player at the position.
FL: as deified as Tebow is, I think FL would probably remain where they are, as they have returned so many players. DC would definitely have to run more in that offense.
TX: I would think they would drop.
Thoughts?

If we had Tebow
He would not be the world beater the media makes him out to be. On our team he would be a slow white quarterback with a lousy arm better suited for playing fullback.

McCoy's arm isn't much better than Saint Timothy's...
I’ll take DC17. He fits the Spread HD….Tebow would be exposed with that very slow delivery.
I’ve never been sold on McCoy (did you know he once saved a man from drowning)
Tebow = Sean McHugh

And if we had McQoy
Joe would waste his talent with bubble screens and four yard out patterns.

That has to be the worst faux-hawk I've ever seen
It makes him look more like he’s balding than sporting the mohawk.
And look at that little goatee, he’s such a badass now.
I'm confused

JMO
I think Penn State this year would do equally well with Clark or OMG TEBOW.

The Question is Invalid
JoePa would’ve turned Tebow into a linebacker.
Fixed that for you.
JoePa would’veturned Tebow into a linebackerlined Tebow up at his natural position

No
That dude is a fullback.

agreed
and he’s a pretty good fullback at that. It is basically like Florida runs the Wildcat on every play (or would it be like a Wildrhino or something, with a FB?)

Homerism
Sorry, I love DC17 but I think it’s delusional to think he’s a better QB (not player, QB) than Tebow or McCoy. I think the PSU fan base has way overrated DC – he still has a long way to go – and there is no proof that he is going to get there. I hope he does, but there is no realism about his development.

What you said.
DC is very good, but he’s neither Tebow or McCoy.

I honestly don’t believe McCoy is a better fit for our offense. I’m not sure about Tebow either.

McCoy is better than Tebow and DC
but he’s not a miracle worker. You are what you are with any of these guys. It’s the curse of the spread…makes mediocre guys look good from far, even though they are far from good….and it suppresses the abilities of truly talented QBs. There’s a reason G. Harrell is in the CFL and Vince Young is charting plays in Nashville.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe. --Albert Einstein
If you had said
Bradford (when healthy) or Robert Griffin, I’d listen. No thanks on Timothy “the Circumcisor” Tebow or McCoy.
Maybe I'm delusional
but I really don’t see how Tebow is a good QB, unless the jump pass is a legitimate QB weapon, and not just a stupid mistake. Somehow he’s been able to minimize any negatives, though, even though I swear he looks like an average QB at best. If you want to say that he’s a great QB for his system…perhaps, but I wouldn’t want him running our offense. Maybe if we had him, we’d adjust the offense to his skills, but I don’t really like that offense. Then again, if we had him, he’d be playing FB.
McCoy I think is probably the best passing QB at a high profile school, and he actually has some pretty good quickness as well. I’d take him over Tebow, and maybe over Clark.
As of yet, Clark hasn’t done much to make me dislike him, or think he’s any worse than Tebow. He’s essentially had one bad game in his career as a starter, and that was Iowa last year where he was apparently still feeling the effects of his concussion, and the conditions were terrible for any QB to perform well in.

Tebow, 4th Quarter, '08 SEC & Nat'l Championship games
7-7 in each game. The guy can throw.

I'm sick of tebow too
But not respecting him as one of the greatest college players of the modern era is just dumb.
