Road Trip!
Nothing can cheer you up like a road trip, or at least the thought of one. In an epic attempt to banish all thoughts of the past weekend from my head, I am looking ahead to what is sure to be a great weekend. I just made hotel reservations in Tuscaloosa for next year. After living in the ATL for years, I have a soft spot for the South and say what you will, SEC fans know how to do a football weekend.
Anyone else planning on heading south in 2010?
Is this enough words?

Debating it.
I have a group of friends that are renting an RV and heading to Tuscaloosa. I might make a long weekend of it. My problem is that it would be two road trips in one year—something I’ve never done.
My road trip dollars are mostly geared toward Iowa City in 2010. I’m trying to arrange a large trip next year.
I will be there.
I don’t have (easy access to) tickets yet, and I don’t have a hotel, but I will be there.

Thanks for the reminder
I need to book my hotel for this tonight. This is going to be 1 of 2 road trips next year… hopefully one will be back to State College though (everything’s a road trip when you live in Texas).
Any suggestions on hotels?
Are there still rooms available in Tuscaloosa? Any thoughts on which hotels are best for location? Thanks!
Phil
I am at the Marriott Courtyard
I always stay at a Marriott if I can. The big hotel there is Hotel Capstone and it was full anyway. I think the Courtyard is 2.5 miles away.
I had no trouble booking. I didn’t know if Tuscaloosa is like SC and fills up a year in advance.

I'm cheap.
So I’ll be looking for the closest La Quinta. At least that way I’ll always know there’ll be a Denny’s nearby.
Yeah...
I am curious too. Where is everyone booking? I may not get game tix but at least I can be there tailgating at least!
