Es ey see (SEC) Fans.... ugh

So i went into work today and i knew it would be bad, but wow, the SEC fans were brutal.... All i heard all day long was how great the SEC is and how continuously SEC schools dominate the rankings. Supposedly this is because northern schools are to "finesse" and how we won't "line up in front of you and punch you in the mouth. " They next went to the rankings and of course there were no Big Ten teams in the top 10, but there were 5 SEC teams.... (btw... the two schools where these people were from is Arkansas and Auburn)

SO! Someone give me some firepower to go into work with and shut these people up..... is there any? I agreed with them in that Penn State was over rated being #4, but i'll never admitt that the SEC is the best ever.....

Just remind them that ESPN signed a deal with the SEC which requires them to put so many highly ranked

because: (1) ESPN doesn’t like competition; and (2) the SEC can’t afford its own full-time network.

Agree completely.

Not that I condone drunkenly yelling at women, but when my friends and I were on Spring Break and these Tennessee girls were giving us crap about being from the north, we just kept yelling “WE WON THE WAR!” Best argument ever.

Well....

Remind them that SEC hasn’t been that “dominate” for that long. While the conference had some good teams in the 80’s and 90’s (Georgia w/ Walker, Auburn with Jackson, Bama 92 and Florida under the Ball Coach) it was largely irrelevant on the national scene. Ask any of these SEC fans if anyone other than Alabama can match the tradition of schools like PSU, tO$U, and scUM. It’s college football, sustained excellence matters. Also, remind them “WE WON THE WAR!”

Never mistake effort for achievement.
