New stadium video
Am I the only one that didn’t like the new stadium video? It seems so negative and doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. If we were to start big ten play 0-2, it’d feel really awkward starting the next home game with that.
Yeah...
I wasn’t a fan either.

Steve Jones
I love the guy, but he went a little overboard with the “National Championships” tonight. We won them in ‘82 and ’86. That’s it.
Let’s not be Pitt and give ourselves “New York Times” National Championships. Those don’t count. Let’s not pretend they do.

I agree
Tonight was the first time I heard we were crowned National Champions in 1911 and 1912.

Yeah I know
Didn’t know those. I think I’ve seen people claim 1931 and 1932 though.

Well, on the official NCAA website
It lists National champions in Football by all sources they deem good enough I guess. According to them we have 11 and 12 wrapped up. It was deemed so by the National Championship Foundation who went back and named champions for before the AP poll was started.
My question is why are those people’s opinions any less valid then a bunch of sports writers? If we accept 82 and 86, why can we not accept any other outlet’s opinion, why is one better than the other? Tradition? Meh. I call baloney.
What is wrong with saying we have 6 national titles? frankly its not any less honest than saying we have two. 86 was definite.
I’d rather just say 10 time unbeaten Penn State and remove the opinion factor all together(or how ever many times it has been)

Sagarin crowned us in '94
And I accept that opinion more than I accept biased pollsters.

Joe Pa did it
Im hyped, in only a way that Joe Pa can get me hyped. No boo’s here, except for when the ref call holding on a Navy touchdown run

The back of the old scoreboard
Had 1994 New York Times National Champions on it. I have a photo of it somewhere.
