Opening Weekend with the BigTen :-(
Day's not over, but I'm posting this anyway.
Penn State and Michigan did what they're supposed to do. Everyone else, not so much.
So Mark May's puckering his lipstick and rinsing Trojan essence out of his mouth, ready to lambaste our conference along with his partners in crime. Nothing we can do about it. It's inevitable.
So what are we to do? Well, voice your opinion on my very first poll (no sex jokes pleaz).
Thanks for the fanpost! Please do not post any content from a premium site that requires a subscription. Also, if you just want to share a link, quote, or video, please consider using fanshots instead. Thanks.

I guess I forgot about Purdue, Michigan State, and Northwestern; all of whom throttled their cupcakes
But who hasn’t forgotten about them?
B10 deserves some heat
not as much as they will pile on but oh well. The only team that played a non-cupcake got hammered (Illinois) and that won’t go over well. No sweat… we just gotta keep moving forward on our own
I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member
I actually think the Minn-Syracuse game — on the road for Minn — was a fair matchup for them. Minnesota ain’t very good (last year’s fluke result notwithstanding).
But, hey, despite the close results against some teams, at least the Big Ten only had one loss this weekend, and it was to a decent Big 12 team. Could have been worse (look at the ACC)
Hopefully, next week we’ll see some wins against some decent teams.
I think it’s unlikely, but there might be a bit of a hangover (what, with the whole “BLOUNT SMASH” thing) for Oregon when they play Purdue.

Even if tOSU loses to USC, the Big Ten could pick up some nice wins versus Oregon (on the road) and Notre Dame next weekend. Plus there is also games against some kinda name mediocre teams like like Cuse (us, obviously) and Iowa St and Fresno St and Air Force.
Michigan will beat ND

It hurts, but yes I...wa-...I wan-...ugh, I it's so hard to say...I...want Michigan to win
A piece of my soul just died
It's all right
Michigan is a lesser evil than Notre Dame. I’ve always thought that.

Same here...
… though I’m hoping they win 45-42 or something like that, and hence end any illusions that Greg Robinson knows what he’s doing.
I'd rather see
something like 6-3. That way it would show those “high powered” offenses of last week were just a facade.
Michigan is by far the lesser evil.
We have a chance to clean their clocks on the field.
Any win by the Big 11 over ND helps us down the road, as long as we take care of our business.
Ann Arbor is a dirty whore...
but Notre Dame is part of the Axis of Evil.
You just hate Notre Damn less than Michigan this week.

Florida, Free $hoes Univer$ity, O$U, Notre Dame, U$C, Ann Arbor.
Nebraska and Miami fell off and need to rise again. Oklahoma’s never affected us.

Oklahoma has so much evil from the Switzer era, plus we’ve never beaten them.
But the four “Senior Evil Council” members have to be Florida, ND, OSU, and USC.

It's deserved, but I don't care.
Illinois is dog crap without Benn. Iowa was just embarrassing (I don’t care if UNI is a good 1AA team). Ohio State has problems, but they could’ve been focused on USC (and when you’re playing Navy, focus on another team at your own peril).
But hey, Michigan looked really good. Purdue didn’t crap it away. We’ll see what Wisconsin does tonight…I have a bad feeling about them.

Other Teams
TWWL is pouring on the love for Michigan for some reason. Perhaps because they looked so much better today than they did all of last year.
Then again, it WAS only directional-Michigan U.
It's way too early
It’s week 1. Which means we’re only 1 week further along than preseason opinions and polls. So we have half a foot outside of the turd pile. I’d give it a few weeks before we have a firm idea of how the conference picture looks.
Luring recruits with my new "Posting HD" scheme since '08.
It's early
but the results are not encouraging, though Navy is a lot better than people think and tOSU should never had been ranked #6 to begin with.
Fortunately
It appears Oklahoma has volunteered to take the media heat off of the Big Ten. Bob Stoops: the Andy Reid of college football?
Too early
Everyone except a few teams played cupcakes today. Bob Stoops is making a note to himself right now. “From now on schedule cupcakes”
A win over Pitt is like kissing your sister

it didn’t take long for it to start rolling in…

ACC
If any conference needs to be dinged today, it’s the ACC — UVa and Duke lose to 1-AA teams, Wake Forest loses at home to Baylor, the team thought to be the standard bearer of the conference (Va Tech) is about to lose as well.
The Big Ten may have looked like crap, but at least they beat their cupcakes.
I'm not into the whole big ten thing
As long as we win I’m happy. I wouldn’t mind PSU being the USC of the Big ten.
That sounds better
I can do without the silly dancing on the sidelines.
