Any News On Bowman?

I have been looking around trying to find some news on Bowman's injury and really could not find any, maybe that is a good thing. Has anyone heard anything? Was it just a minor injury/pull of the groin or something that could be nagging him all season. Hopefully it isn't that bad and he will be back on the field this week. If anyone has any news I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

his groin 2-3 weeks ago in practice according to Bradley. They decided together to keep him out after the first series. I’m sure someone will ask and Joe will address it at the conference today. Sounds like it’s a nagging injury and, just speculating here, but he may not play serious minutes until after Temple. What we saw from Stupar and with his development, that wouldn’t be a huge deal.

As bad as it sounds,

a couple games out may keep him around for another year. At the same time, I wouldn’t even hope for that since having a player go high in the draft looks good for the program and Penn State has players waiting in the wings

Well, according to previous stories, he promised his mother that he would graduate from PSU, so there’s the outside chance that he does stay for 4 years. That being said, it’s hard to turn down first-round NFL money if you can get it.

I pulled my groin muscle

in a HS game, many moons ago! It healed in a few days but seemed easliy aggravated. Of course, we didn’t have the access to whirlpools, ultrasound, electric pulse, and some of the other medical treatments that are available today at Penn State.

Truthfully, I am a bit worried because of my experience.

Well, look at it this way.

He felt good enough to give it a shot on Saturday and took himself out immediately when he thought he might not be 100%. Two more weeks and he should be fine.

I don't see how he isn't back 100% by Iowa

I think Stupar proved he was more than a capable replacement, so this is ok.

Not Practicing

Joe addressed it in his press conference. He said the muscle is swollen and he didn’t practice yesterday and doesn’t expect him to practice today. I expect he will be out 2 to 3 weeks.
