Adrian Coxson: "I decommited from Penn state...life decisions"

Sad face. Seems to me his decommitment is for sure.

No, no, that's totally fine. I was just curious.

That doesn't seem to mesh with what I've heard

Great. All this does is make me wonder what in the world it could be.

From all that I’ve seen or heard he appears to be pretty good, although I understand he didn’t have a huge outing at the last HS all-american dealy.

I trust the coaching staff...

But I still find it kind of hard to believe we couldn’t make room for the guy if everyone else thinks he’s that good, has no known grade or behavior issues and he really wants to go to PSU.

Just seems a very strange call, but hopefully in the end it works out for the best for everyone involved. Assuming he doesn’t turn into a Floyd type where ever he goes, best of luck to Coxson.

Apparently, someone posted on BWI that...

…Coxson was trying to recruit Paul Jones away from PSU and toward another program, and that combined with his half-assed efforts at all-star games/practices was enough for PSU to tell Coxson to find another school.

Lattimore

Does this mean the coaching staff are going to go balls-out for Lattimore? PSU doesn’t need receivers like they did before Moye, Zug and Powell emerged as good replacements for the smurfs.

Rather it be Florida than someone on our schedule.

I'd almost bet on it

Florida entered the picture almost as soon as things got wierd with Coxson, and you should never put it past Meyer to pull something like telling a ‘soft verbal’ commit try to sway some other high profile commits before bolting for Florida.

In the end it’s Penn State that will have the last laugh as Meyer drags out his leave of absence, and leads recruits and players on as to when he returns. To think Penn State has more HC stability then Florida or USC is hilarious.

I mean, Kenney is a 4*

Maybe not superbad, but whatever.

And Powell was a 4* WR, top 100 on one board, can’t recall which…

What concerns me

Is how this will affect our MD recruiting down the line. I don’t know enough about MD football. Was Coxson’s school a hotbed for talent? If so I could see his coach pushing his players elsewhere after we just F-d this kid over.

We got Bryant Johnson from his school

But they’re not DeMatha, Good Counsel, Linganore or anything like that.

I wonder if the USC thing has anything to do with Coxson.

Particularly since we’re deep at WR and shallow at OL.

Rumor is.........

He had ideas to decommit earlier, and tried to take Paul Jones with him. Coaches got wind of it and told him he wasn’t welcomed any longer.

Never heard this.

With him to where?

I’m sure he’ll land somewhere, but I still haven’t heard where. And I’m sure, for PJ, that “Hey Paul, let’s leave this national powerhouse with conference championships and All Americans for a better team” was a great ploy. Clearly worked, too, as PJ is in ECON 002.

Well, there was a time that it

seemed like PJ was wavering on his PSU committment.

Wonder if that was due to Coxson?

No worries.

I called my friend Prop Joe down in Baltimore, and he’s going to take Avon Barksdale and a few Eastside Bal’mer residents and go pay this kid a visit. Help him with his “Life Decisions”

Before your cronies go all Tonya Harding on this HS kid's knee caps

Please make sure you’re not in any way affiliated with Penn State, and have cut all ties to the university. We have a stellar track record, I’d like to keep it that way TYVM.
