However, AWFUL picks IMO:

BSU (3), Oregon (4), VT(6), Nebraska (8), Big East (14/15).

BSU is NOT a top 5 team – they simply have it in them to beat anybody in America on any given day. They are not a top BCS caliber team, they simply have the coaching/talent to knock a top BCS team off once a year – not week-to-week, which is my problem with them ever being top 5. I’m really sick of hearing about these guys. I’d only consider watching their games to see if someone else will propose. Unless they’re playing a respectable team, which rarely happens. And they usually get punched in the face when it does.

Oregon. LOL. The team that OSU romped over? Come on, they’re not a top 10 team this year, they won’t be next year. If their offense was ugly after JUST ONE MONTH off, how can we expect them to kick it into gear before like week 6 after the whole offseason?

VT. NEVER a top 10 team. EVER. Except when they’re sacrificing dogs. This is a team that gets by on ACC (or, in the past, BE cupcakes), but loses to EVERY SINGLE legitimate top 20 team it plays.

Nebraska is going to plain SUCK without Suh. Unless they have another DL whose name nobody can pronounce coming in…

Big East is questionable. I don’t disagree as strongly with these picks, but they’re questionable. Pitt is just funny, but MIGHT be good with Lewis next year and Cincinatti is losing Mardy Gilyard, who is the one and only reason they were better than average this year. Pike can probably pick apart the whole Big East next year, but I sincerely question whether that makes them a top 15 team.
