Penn State only haz fore rekroots??!!? We're TEH SUX! SKy IZ FALLING!
Except that this weekend, Penn State is playing host to no less than 30 (THIRTY!) 2011 and 2012 prospects. Three of PSU's four guys will also be there, hopefully bonding and whispering sweet nothings into the ears of the uncommitted.
The UPDATED list, with a HUGE hat tip to Sean Fitz:

Tyrell Smith - DL - Lanoka Harbor (N.J.) Lacey Township
Wayne Morgan - DB - Brooklyn (N.Y.) Erasmus Hall
Will McClure - LB - McMurray (Pa.) Peters Township
Of Note
I have no idea why Doran Grant or Albert Louis-Jean are making the trip; I guess who would turn down a trip to watch a PSU/UM game at night in the Beav? Those two will not be Nittany Lions.
These guys range from 5* to unranked. There are also a lot of down-to-the-wire calls here (PSU vs. OSU, etc.).
THE RETURN OF THE HEADBOARD - Notice Bryan Cox, Jr.'s name up there? That's Jr. as in son of the nasty Chicago Bears LB.
That's TWO Peters Township Indians on the list. Don't see any Bethel Park Hawks. Just sayin'...
Remember to keep checking in with Lion247 for the updated list. I know Sean has said that more names could be added.
Mike and Co., hopefully the siren is dusted off. This could be a big weekend.

It needs to be a big weekend
for the sanity of some of the fans.
People say that this class can be “written off” and that we can afford to have a talent dip after the solid year last year. It’s foolish to think that.
Any bad year will come back to haunt you. That 2006 awesome class is a shadow of it’s former self, and many on there aren’t being the leaders the fan base would like them to be.
Hopefully we can get enough solid players this year and then go all out next year. Joe Pa has supposedly said he doesn’t want to leave the cupboard bare-I think that means taking care of things this year.

Im not totally writing off AL-J yet
Miami could have some coaching staff shake-ups coming and he may get cold feet going the whole way down to FL. Who knows? There have been decommits before
But that goes without saying that I think it is highly unlikely that he would switch to PSU
What's the deal with Pat Conlan?
I couldn’t find him on the recruiting services. Seems like he is a QB/S prospect. I am assuming we probably won’t offer but maybe he will be a preferred walk-on.
I couldn't find anything of recruiting note on him either.
5. What’s your favorite sports team?
Penn State Football
No word on whether or not he is related to Shane (who is from NY, not western PA).

A wolverine is really just an oversized groundhog. Also, the next man to call a stretch play gets sent to Botany Bay. Beat Michigan.

Hid dad was not widely recruited.
Joe offered after seeing him play basketball and realized what an athlete he was
eff it, I'm going derp
TB recruited Shane and sealed the deal even......
though he played one of his worst BB games ever….he just liked his overall athleteic abilities and as above his son is the kid being recruited. My son lives in Sewickley and sees the Conlans occasionally. Here’s hoping that he inherits the gene pool.

Here's a shot of Pat and dad at an earlier game

How many Scholarships will really be available this year?
I keep hearing 12 or 13, yet I see only 10 Seniors on the Roster.
Gdabyu, McCullough?, Royster, Wagner, Colasanti, Wisniewski, Klopacz ,Eliades, Brackett, Ogbu.
Also, this group is almost completely a list of decent contributors, but none of them is going to leave a big hole.
Is McCullogh a scholarship athlete?

I think 14-18 is a good range.
Per Scout, there are 11 players out of eligibility after this season.
And I agree, the players leaving, while some of them have been very important cogs in the PSU wheel, none of them are leaving us scurrying to find replacements quickly.

Well Mauti and Redd are going pro. Jones is transferring. And McGloin has already been named starter for the Steelers sunday night.
Honestly? I don’t know. But there always seems to be extra spots. So an overestimation is safe. Injuries, players leaving, grayshirts, etc.
