Regardless of my schtick
It’s a pretty compelling story to start a true freshman QB for the first time ever at the begining of the season and then turn the team over to a former-walk-on before the Ohio State game despite the true freshman playing exceptionally well.

Rudy was a fraud.
I hate that movie so much. I hate the fact that it even exists.
At least Something for Joey was based off of something that didn’t need a team of writers to make it more inspiring.

Echoed to infinity
That movie sucked so hard, it even crept into my enjoyment of The Lord of the Rings. Dude’s face is not meant for anything other than a hobbit role.
Well, maybe also to be the receiving end of an Ohio Bobcat punch.
The offensive line was inspired by McGloin.
Rudy was a bum
That was off-sides on one token play. The movie is a bunch of made up drama.
This is better than any movie. This is a kid from Scranton overcoming the odds to start at a major D1 program. I’m still on the RoBo wagon but this is impressive.
People forget
Joe liked McGloin so much that he actually had him in the mix during the whole DC17 / Devlin decision in 2008. I don’t think McGloin ever had a chance that year, but he impressed Joe enough to warrant mentions during press conferences.
I've got the brains. You've got the looks. Let's make lots of money.
I believe you may be confusing him with the comments on Cianciolo in Ought-Eight

Let it go. Let it go.
