See that upper left hand stone? That's the 1967 tie we had with Florida State. This stone sits in their "Sod Semetary" which is to mark all of their road wins. The operative word here is wins.

That's....kind of creepy
Why would you mark road wins with a grave site?
And how is a 17-17 tie considered a win? Usually you only consider a tie the equivalent of a win if you thought you were playing a vastly superior opponent that was going to blow you out.

It's a win, Mike,
because they typed their name in bigger font.
If only Alabama knew about this, just think of the possibilities…
I know about your diabolical plan.
It's the tO$U method
tie = win
share = lone champion

Whenever I hear "head of Bowden" I always think of this picture
yahoo sports used for Terry Bowden’s column even through the time period where he looked like a chubby Arab merchant

He was the "bad son",
since he really tried to beat his Father when they played each other.
If you Google
Samford, you can see the 31 Wins in their SportSemetary.
Also,
If you Google the SodSemetary, you can see, I believe, 12 exhumed grave sites.
I love the asterisk
Someone should seriously weld a metal asterisk onto that “grave” for kicks. Anyone live near Tallahassee and can sneak in and do this in the middle of the night?
That is very pitt like

My favorite part
This is considered a “road win”
The game was played in Jacksonville, Florida and ended in a tie. But it’s a road win.

Not to stick up for FSU
but the Sod is used for all Bowl game wins too…However, this doesn’t explain the fact that it is a TIE
Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face
I wonder if they have one for the '05 Orange Bowl?
The game was tied at the end of regulation, so had the game occurred prior to 1996, then they would have fashioned a marker for it given past practice.
